I too had faced the same prob when i bought this... This has a workaround though.. Upgrade your phone to 2.2 Eclair and you will have a stable battery.. :):):)

Dears, i used to have an e7, i suffered from the battery life, now I got an iphone, same issue, the battery drains when i install whatsapp !!! is it the same with e6 ??

You have a right to be confused. GSMArena quoted battery times that some users say they haven't gotten with their E6.
I understand what they are saying...if in fact they are being truthful.
Some batches of the E71 and the E72 have some battery issues and not only only battery issues but dust issues where dust gets under the screen. It's hard to know which batches have the problem you just have to cross your fingers...this is for the E71. I don't know if any of these claims of low battery for the E6 is true any at all. They could be some Nokia haters giving trouble BUT I can vouch for the E71.
I was hoping these issues would have been resolved for the E6. I'm still hoping that they have been resolved.

Recently purchased Nokia E6. But great disappointment on following points
(1)Display of Contact details are messy
(2)Space below photograph chooses at any random any information for display.
(3)Note feature in the contact details is disgusting. Nokia should study SE P1i phone book feature works
(4)Note in office apps is substandard - It does not provide active link to phone numbers and website links.

i have purchase this phone 1 month ago...before it i used e71 nokia phone ...but i am facing problem in push email...push mail delievery is too much late. with compresion of e71..pls meet ut this problem very soon..otherwise i back to e71

Nw wat is confusing is does gsmarena mentiond fake standby n talktime or this people are tryin to degrade e6...

E6 is good all rounder, work & play. Email, casual surfing, social networking, watching videos, music.
Battery life without power saving : 2 days with moderate usage, WLAN off/manual, email auto retrieval 4 hours or more.
Those who want physical keypad will like it, those who like gaming, no, screen too small.
Just 2 issues(for me just 1) : Vibration & notification light weak. Some owners solved the notification light issue by making the keypad light up when there're new email/sms/calls.

Bought this Nokia E6 in replace for buying an iPhone 4. I've used mine for 5 days only and decided to sell it immediately. Well, the battery life was so poor. I hate it. I've used iPhone 3g before, and we all know that iPhones can easily drain batteries. But when I used E6, it drained even faster that an iPhone which is full touch screen. That was why I decided to sell my Nokia E6 and bought an iPhone 4 right now. I can now use my iPhone 4 the whole day texting, playing games, watching videos and even net-surfing rather than a Nokia E6 which I can only use almost half of the day and immediately charge it whenever I came home from school.
I also have some friends who bought this phone and eventually regret it. This is my opinion because I came to owned one before. Thanks!

With moderate usage including camera, 3g, games, applications etc am getting battery backup of 55 hours and you say , the battery backup is low......... I dont agree that....

nokia e6 is the best phone i have ever used. Name any feature and it has that. From a whopping 8 gb internal memory to 32 gb support, from a 8 mp dual flash camera to a 1.3 mp front camera, everything means everything you ever wanted in a business phone. Thanks to Nokia.
