It's my personal opinion that Nokia should put more attention to the built quality of their products. A lot was expected from N8 and the phone is built magnificently, but then software issues appeared...

And while you're at it, know this:
Symbian^3 phones, with 680 MHz ARM11 CPU and 256mb RAM, are able to record and play 720p videos.
NO ARM11 android phone is able to do that, even the 800 MHz galaxy ace.

jang_mi, 27 Apr 2011if youre gonna create a perfect phone, how would you advert... moreTo JANG_MI:
I have always preached that.
A phone will come to near perfect but never perfect as no other models from the lineup will sell. Nokia advertised the Nokia N97 with a 5MP camera as the best they have to offer...yet the Nokia N86 has a 8MP camera and that was announced not too long after the N97 was announced.
However, another thing to point out is that not everybody can afford high-end and not everybody needs every feature from phones. For instance some phones may have Wi-Fi but no 3G. If your provider doesn't support 3G then it makes sense to spend less and get only a Wi-Fi phone instead etc.
So as you can see it's a two way street. Not everybody can afford top of the line phones and not everybody will make use of all the features from top of the line phones. In doing it the way these manufacturer's do it...there's something for everybody.

Nokia made a great point in saying that they didn't choose Android because they didn't want the 'Nokia' brand to get lost with all the other Android devices.
Think about it my friend, the exclusivity of operating systems are going through the window because of Android.
Before Android, whenever you thought of a Nokia smartphone 'Symbian' immediately came to mine, whenever you thought about a Motorola smartphone 'Linux' came to mind, whenever you thought about a HTC smartphone 'Windows Mobile' came to mind and the list goes on.
If every phone manufacturer uses Android then what competition will there be? If all phones should use Android then the marketplace will be a boring one because you are basically using the same phone with the only difference being the brand.
One more thing, Symbian doesn't require much power as Android which means that with a 600Mhz CPU, Nokia can achieve the same performance as a 1Ghz CPU used in Android phones. You pay less for a 600Mhz CPU which makes the consumer happy.
I want ALL you commenters here on GSMArena to think about everything I said. Have a nice day one and all.
