Anonymous, 29 Apr 2013Pls guys, why does my e6 screen go off as soon as i want to... moreAbove the screen, towards the right side of the earpiece you can find the front camera, light sensor and a proximity sensor. Whenever you make a call the proximity sensor (right most of the three) will get activated i.e. you can observe a red light glows in it. Now, the purpose of it is that whenever you bring the phone close to your ear the sensor detects it and deactivates the screen to avoid unnecessary touch actions while talking as it is a touch sensitive screen. When you bring your phone away your ear you can notice that even during the call the screen is on because you might want to use options like loudspeaker or keypad etc. This feature prevails in all the touch sensitive phones and it is no issue as you see it.
If you find the screen off even when you have not kept it near your ear, make sure that you did not cover the proximity sensor with your fingers or any other object.
If still you cannot find the screen on then go to your nearest nokia care.

Pls guys, why does my e6 screen go off as soon as i want to make call? It seems to be dead but it's not. As soon as i drop the call it comes alive again. Heard someone say it's a censor but i cant disable this censore. I need help pls.

hope Nokia, will make a successor of this phone because this phone is amazing(for me )
with an operating system of windows 8(but i foot like it to have live tiles)

120-150g (its ok for it to be heavier by few grams because its for them to put big battery)
file manager(wp8 doesnt have this)
if nokia can make this, i can pay it for 300usd
what a great, long lasting, fast, feature-rich, and the most important it is HANDY/POCKETABLE smartphone

Anonymous, 25 Apr 2013Pls where can I buy Nokia E6? You can buy the phone from ebay (or amazon). There are plenty of unlocked Nokia E6 available in various color. They work fine on your Vodafone 3G or Telecom XT net. The nearest phone you can find available is from Hong Kong. The price for a unlocked (sim free) phone is around USD 200. The phone is rather "old" here in Finland, Europe. I bought mine, an finnish operator's demo phone (unlocked) three weeks ago and it cost only 50 euro (USD 65). The black version is the only they had. It's fine but the screen gets greasy all the time. I'd rather take the white version. They all have a very polished front cover like you can see. To be honest I'd rather take unlocked E7-00 if physical keyboard is a must, because of the amazing 10,16 cm (4") screen. There is one thing to prefer E6. The E6's battery has more power than E7-00 has (1500 mAh vs. 1200 mAh). and you can change a new one by yourself. I have them both E6 and E7-00.

Got this phone as a gift from my uncle in uk . After a week it got hanged . After Taking it to nokia care in bangalore , they said that software cant be cant be re installed because this phone isn't indian one . I am so depressed . What should i do ? :( .

This mobile is mostly usable for emailing and textmessaging, not for gaming. If you need hundreds of application is better to buy some Android or iPhone. Then you can have those funny fart-h apps. ;)

Dear Nokia, this is your best phone. please upgrade the processor and increase the screen a bit. Symbian Anna is better than iOS and Android.
