AnonD-1385, 09 Oct 2012To BAKHU: First of all when you think of a smartphone yo... moremy friend said that bb bold 4 is much better than e6 and my other friend said my galaxy note is perfect and ur(me) e6 is so small its screen is so small and nokia is outdated nowadays its time for android and iphone and for qwerty bb is best and nokia is vanishing i m confused and sometime think to sell my nokia e6 and buy any android fone :(

This is so so great phone,because look stylish even compare to blackberry,,,it so beutiful design,,and running belle look so great and more faster,,no lags in experianced,,used it viber&whatsapp no problem and google maps latest version,,

First of all when you think of a smartphone you think of multitasking and NOBODY beats Symbian at that. Symbian is so smart that when you have multiple programs running, switching between them is seamless. For example if you have two programs running and you want to switch between them, just hold down the Home key/Symbian key and switch just like that. After you make the first switch, switching again is even easier because it will automatically switch to the next program when you hold down the home key a second time. Hold it down a third time will switch back to the other program. So each time you hold down the home key the OS predicts you want to switch to the next running program and highlights them back and forth. Example, let's say you have Nimbuzz and Whatsapp running and you are currently in Nimbuzz, holding down the home key will usually highlight standby first, just scroll to Whatsapp and enter that, hold down the home key again, it automatically highlights Nimbuzz so all you have to is press the select button, hold it down again it automatically highlights Whatsapp so all you have to do is press select button. That's fast multitasking!
Android's home key shows a box titled recent apps and there's no way to differentiate what was recently open and what is currently as there's no indicator on any of the icons so multitasking is slow and non-efficient as you have to remember what is open. Symbian ONLY shows what is open just like a computer does which makes Symbian smarter at multitasking.
Finally while still on the subject of multitasking, with Symbian as soon as you go to the menu you now whether a program is running or not as there's a indicator to the top right of the icon. Android DOESN'T have that and I pointed it out to a Android guru and he admitted that Symbian beats Android at multitasking.
What I don't like about Android is that it runs down battery very quickly, it's sluggish and bloated like an oversized pig and as BHOLANATH SHIL said, Symbian has better hardware. But I will tell you this, Android has something I wish Symbian had...video calling with Skype and I was told video calling is possible with other programs like Yahoo, MSN, Oovoo etc. So the biggest advantage I see with Android is the video calling.
However, I do make Skype calls and MSN calls on my Nokia E71 which is powered by Symbian and that is good enough for me so Android isn't a MUST for me.

I use both. Nokia E6 is my primary and Android smart phone is my secondary one. Nokia E6 camera (8 mega pixel) is really very good! and its quick office is also amazing. I just did its soft ware update (go to Menu- SW update) .Now it runs faster (smoothly) but while we did it : phone restart is needed). Besides this phone battery is good and its sound quality is also very good! . This is really my pocket & solid mobile phone. Thank you Nokia :)

This is the phone I really wanted and the more I found you could NOT get it at phones4U and CarPhoneWarehouse the more determined I was get it
I have loaded Nokia maps and a better calculator and an antivirus /anti theft which on pinpoints my location
By shock horror I mean I have the Silver E6 and am surprised by the response especially from Blackberry owners who are really surprised by the features.
I NEED HELP PLEASE. All my music is on my microSD
when I played music on the andriod phone, it displayed album art.
On the nokia E6 playing the same all I get is the musical note.
I can't find out why any answer/ help help
