I had to do this when I first got the phone and again after 6 months. The newer maps is also much better for navigation.

Brad, 25 Jul 2012I am using e72 and want to upgrade. Is e6 a good option in ... moreMy wife had a E72 for almost 2 years and I know both phones well. I also just got her a new E6 and she was a bit apprehensive at first.
The E6 has more functionality due to its touchscreen and takes a little while to get used to- because it is a relatively small touchscreen. I think a optical trackpad such as that on the E72 would have been useful on the E6, but isnt so bad without it... Takes a while to get used to the different cursor movements, such as holding down the scroll button versus pressing the button repeatedly.
I am a contractor and use my E6 for work. I dropped the phone a few times in the 1st month (bigger than my old Nokia 5500) so I wasnt used to it.
It has survived very well so far the last 6months, except for a few small dents in the outer metal trim and a few scrathes, so YES, the phone is tough!
I did my research taking into account my needs, and have found everything I need in the E6. The flashlight is great and has an auto shut off if you forget. It didnt have a stopwatch or timer, but I downloaded apps and 'Sportstracker' works brilliantly. Email, whatsapp and Skype (voice only) works well on the phone- ***** does anyone know if you can make Skype video calls on the E6?
I have struggled to get the phone to auto switch between known wifi's and 3g or edge, but the nearest Nokia Care has been helpful.
Initially, had too many dropped calls on my E6 on my network using 3G and dual mode and had to drop to using Gsm only. That is my cellular network provider being a problem and not the phone. Stable with fewer network related issues since then.
The E6 is still the best Nokia 'touch & type' on the market!

does dis phone has good camera,video clarity dan htc cha cha.. e6 doesnt hav autofocus while htc cha cha hav..jus nd a fone dat wil hav long life battery,good and sharp camera and video clarity,fast web surfing. plz really nd ur reply guyz..especially original jamaican..very urgent

i was scared of upgrading it to symbian belle from anna before but i gave it a try because of some apps from OVI store that i cannot download/install (filed message) like molome, foursquare, ebuddy smx, etc but after updrading it to belle it worked!
My E6 now has:
- Software Version 111.130.0625
- Software Version Date: 2011-01-05
i was able to install the apps that i cannot install before and almost everything is perfect on the phone provided that it still hangs (sometimes)

The most complaints I see for this phone is... moreI've been using the E6 for 6 months. I use it for business and entertainment and find the phone extremely fast and able to cope with my needs.
It does slow down when you have too many apps or features open at the same time... Like 6 or 8 or more. (hold down the home button to see whats open in the background) and I then close the items I no longer need open. Multi-tasking is fine, but just like any computer, too many open programs will slow the phone down.
I also have gotten into the habit of re-starting my phone at least once a week... Less problems lately.
I am thinking of updating software to Belle, anyone not happy with the upgrade??
