I saw this phone today at Computex Taiwan at the Hitachi Booth. I guess Hitachi is Behind this technology for this phone along with the E70 Nokia. I spent some time playing and testing the phone. The phone seemed very slow and seemed to lag a lot between applications or pages. It seemed to pause for 1-2 seconds before anything opened up. Anyone here with one chime in on response time and it being slow??

I will go for E61 due to the QWERTY keyboard and large screen.

Ingo,
You are deciding between E60 and E61? Well, two of them are like Zebra and Elephant. I meant size wise.
When Nokia merges 7710 + E60 = the Ultimate Phone. (Don't know when it will happen).
If you didn't get the clue, "Nokia!! Come on, time to add the touch screen".

I agree with Matt & Tony. The reason I bought this phone is because it didn't have a camera. As for FM, I downloaded a free symbian s60 3rd edition application that allows me to play Internet Radio and it works great.

Why do folks want a camera on their phones? Most can't take hi-quality pics anyways. If you want a camera, go look at other make of phones, Sony Ericsson, for example...

This phone is aimed at the Business market, not for CHAVS or kids.

Could it be that some people want a phone that is just a very good phone and nothing but a phone?
If I buy an FM radio I don't want or expect a phone to be crudely bolted on. Why this obsession with having loads of poor quality gimmicks added to a phone?
Nokia have set out to make the E60 an excellent phone. This is not a phone for kids to show off to their friends - there are plenty of those already

I can understand there no camera as it concers buisiness class But NO FM ! Hell can any one explain?

Very nice phone, 16M color , big screen , Wifi, also Symbian phone..but , realy ,realy , we miss a Camera..again nokia , dont do phone with full option!!

hi guys,
someone said, nokia plans an update on august? realy? can anyone say what this update will include?
I try to find a descision whether to buy E60 or E61... The joystick in the E60 seems to be much more accurate and the size is more suitable for everyday life. But even if the screen has a higher resolution i don't think its large enough for browsing, viewing documents like pdf etc. Has anyone experience with those office funtionality with the E60? The screen of the E61 seems to fulfill those tasks a bit better..

Hey guys this is my first post on gsmarena.. First i just want to thank you guys for all the posts you have put on here.. they really helped me in purchasing wonderful fones i have used and liked. I am a fone freak..lol this year i have used.. Nokia 6270,6280,3250,Samsung D800, W800i, N70,N90,and now E60.. i have loved them all but the best is E60.. wow this fone is great. i mean Jesus its got everything i need note "need" not "want"...
someone said something about the bluetooth being v1.2 agreed but i assure you the speed is awesome.. u wont notice the difference that i can promise you.. i dont know what else to say but if you want a fone that you will be satisfied with without a camera. go for the E60

I just spoke to Vodafone (Retail) and they should have the phone in 30JUN06. The agent said it looked like the price would be good, free upgrade on the mid-range call plans like 200 xnet.

Great phone, features but having difficulty setting up VOIP. I got my phone from Dubai for amazing £167.00 (1,150.00 Dihrams)
