Hey alien. Go into app manager, settings and turn off ' only signed apps install'. It was driving me crazy aswell. Also if some stuff still dont install put ur date to 2007 install app/theme then change date back.

what's the diffrence between "office applications" on e61, and "document viewer" on e51? The both model are great, and I cant make the decision which one to buy.

i tried to open xls file 118kb (776 rows,4 columns)with built in office application it took 34 seconds, then i tried quick office, surprisingly it took only 5 seconds. overall for opening sms and email (mail for exchange) its a bit slow though i installed sms accelerator. its stable OS and like it. a bit heavy and your finger will numb bec its thin and a bit wide. typing with this phone is nice. good phone in overall.

Satisfied with the purchase, excellent graphics and pleasant widescreen. sound good enough to play music and watch video (can be improved).
One small thing, i have a itech clip-D and it doesn't seem to be connecting to each other. Anyone can comment on compatibility?

it's a very good phone...i writing messages very fast on this phone....sound is excelent...an also the screen.the screen is good for live tv and movies...try it..i had 3 updates so far...i have just 5 programs on him...and it have gps but i need a receiver...it works excelent,no blocks,no errors,i have 1gb card,it works perfectly on internet

Thanks nokia for the powerfull PDA nokia E61. is all lovely to handle and pocketable, i want to say with all the features in the (E61), still doesn't have a GPS nevigator.

Doug, let me tell you the legend behind the 'i' word in EVERY SINGLE Nokia phones.
Not all of them has it. & if they do appear behind the model number, THAT is call an update from the previous similar model.

and so,
E61i is the update of E61.

Please i will like to talk about this phone.I don't understand that is fresh phone don't have camears? maybe u have gone somewhere such as party and then u want to snap a picture how will u do.Am from Ghana 18years old.

It is now too long not to seen any new BB Killer. Hope to Nokia soon new release with Nokia E90 specs.

Hi Nokia users..I recommend this unit, why? you dont need a camera phone if you have your digicam which is more convinient to use. E61 has the greatest features even though it does'nt have camera. Very useful.

I've found this to be quite the pleasant little phone. It has its niggles, some of the menu navigation can get quite laggy from time to time, but not unbearably so. Did notice an oddness in my device though, sometimes, for no apparent reason, the screen flashes white, but returns to normal, the whole affair lasting less than a second. Otherwise perfectly fine, just with Three would permit POP3 mailing

This is a Huge phone with little features! No camera also? This would be a total wast of time and money. How could Nokia come up with this This Phone???? Why not make the Nokia E61i when they should of made only one!

I have this phone since April 2005 (E61) Why ohh why has NOKIA not released a REAL update to the original E61? I mean what have the done for the past 3YEARS??? When you really think about it, after two years they attach a camera to the E61, I mean they could have done that from the beginning that's why the E61i is not what you call an update.
At the time when it came out, it was revolutionary, now it's too big/wide, ugly, slow, doesnt support more than 2gigs, no cam or low res cam, no radio, bad battery, the app keys on the E61i are useless, lack of internal storage, no usb, no gps.
Gosh, i mean its not like they dont have the technology to remake one. All they would need to do is reshape the N82 into a slim attractive QUARTY phone and add some security features with maybe blackbarry connect for our business folks, thats it.
Why cant they do that????? I mean there is a huge market for that, just look at how many ppl are running around with blackbarries! Nokia could own that market if they were smart!
