I believe the AD-46 will work and produce excellent sound, but last time I checked the AD-46 doesnt have volume support*, I on the other hand use the AD-41, which has music functions and the volume control. By default, the Nokia E61 will reset the preset to "default" settings when listening to music, but if you have any of the adaptors, it will stay to the preset that you chose. I also use iPod like headphones, that has built in Subwoofers to balance out the sound, and so far, it is okay. And no the volume does not drop, but although I find the output much better after a hard reset and/or taking the adaptor in and out.

I have an HTC 8125 by Cingular, and an i-Mate JasJar, the main differences are they are touchscreens. When I compare my windows phone to my E61, I notice a great difference on how the windows phone renders the page, it is awful, with the Nokia, it views much better. Now for the WiFi, the only thing that I seemed to see was that Nokia E61 has more battery juice after 2hrs of using the net. The windows phones dies out quick. And no, it IS very responsive, and very stable. Trust me, the windows phones take more time into processing applications and slower. Although I noticed that playing video on the windows phone has less lags between switching from regular screen to fullscreen.

to Kannan, i don't have a window mobile phone nor other wifi enable phones to compare. but for me, E61 speed is acceptable. and if u r going to get a window mobile phone with 3G enable, the prize will be much higher than E61.

I want to buy Nokia e61, for the reason it has wi-fi & 3G.

My frined say e61 is very slow in operation, and wi-fi is not as good as windows mobile 5.0.

E61 Users, please give your suggestion 1) is e61 process speed really slow 2) is wi-fi & 3G working upto good standards?

          Can i buy Nokia e61 considering wi-fi & 3G as main criteria? or should i buy windows mobile 5.0 phone for wi-fi + 3G?

Anyone using the Nokia audio adapter AD 46 on the E61 with a stereo headset of their choice ? Any experiences with lower audio levels ? Does the volume level drop when using the adapter ?

I am looking for a high quality stereo headset with boom microphone - that one could comfortable wear all day :)

            Thanks

The Nokia E61 is able to play movies at excellent quality, for this I use "Super Video Converter" on iPod, MPEG-4, AAC, settings. And as for MP3 playing, it is good quality. Just get an AD-41 adaptor and use your favorite headphones, because the HS-20 that the AD-41 comes with is really weak.

Why did nokia implement Flash Lite 1.0 when 2.0 was available at the time of release?

                              Why Bluetooth 1.2 not 2.0?

Obviously the Bluetooth cant be upgraded via firmware, but has anyone managed to update their Flash Lite on the E61 to 2.0 for more compatibility on flash sites?

Getting the phone on Tuesday. I'm quite excited about the little toy. Any Mac OS X users out there? How is iSync with the phone? Will I have to download any addition drivers for a Mac? Also transfering old number from my 6680, I believe the software supplied is only PC, so any suggestions?

i have a question about the office applications. Does this also include acrabat reader? And what is it like to use this and word? I have bad experience with these applications on the nokia 6680 and what i want to know is if the quality has improved.
                                      Thanks in advance

Did anybody notice horizontal lines on the display?
Sometimes i notice them and don't know if this is normal or not. They are tiny, you have to look carefully to see them.
I think they are caused by mini SD card slot, but am not sure.

And yesterday I noticed a thicker horizontal discoloration of the screen, but only with Nokia original theme.
