Hi Everyone,
I will appreciate a direct responce to this question.
Can I install softwares of Nokia N80 on Nokia E61i; will it work ?
Note:-
They both belong to the Symbian S60.V3 operating system.

The CONs are:
1. No TFT Touch Screen
2. No Handwriting Recognition
3. No Secondary Camera for video calling
4. No FM Radio
5. No Bluetooth v2.0
6. No Flight Mode option
7. No ????????
I would like to see next model of this phone with above features.

The E61i i great im using it for 3 months already and i never been dissapointed, it works great and it does not HANG!!!

The phone makes all the money, the battery lasts very long (10 hours on MP3 player and 6-7 hours watching movies or using the phone for navigation).
The display is amazing 16MIL colors, i dont think i can go back to a 262k colors or 65k.
If u have over 1000 messages the phone slows a bit, not much but for fast users its annoying. The slow at what im reffering is when choosing to go 2 a menu aor another, that slow does not affect writing super fast sms or watching movies or listening to mp3.
Its a smartphone so the camera is 2MP and its ok.
The thing that i dont like at this phone is that it does not have NOKIABLOG, but thats only 4 Nseries not 4 E series.
In conclusion buy this phone.

freaking awesome phone....been using it for a week now and everything just works fine....
I been looking for the freeware stuff but haven't been able to find any good site's.
Does anybody know any good ones?

this phone is all perfect except v1.2 bluetooth, it does not support bluetooth A2DP, that means can not connect bluetooth stereo headphones. though i give my thumbs up E61i. keep it up Nokia.

You can both view AND edit word and excel documents as well, on the E61i. Powerpoint files however are readable but not editable.

u can browse pdf,word,excel,pps files.
but if you want to edit it, u have d option to upgrade the software by buying it.
u can surf the internet thru pocket or html size...downloading attachments - FAST!

I didn`t get it clearly... can I browse all MS office files (word, excel, pdf...) with this phone?
And what about its WLAN connectivity.. the pages are HTML version or poket? May someone help me and answer these questions?;]

Really good phone! Battery life is fantastic.. 3 days of heavy usage I get. Amazing web browser.. first phone I can do online banking with!!! Wish it had HSDPA though, well done however Nokia!

hey bin,
price wise e61i is much cheaper than e90. but if your looking for a more sophisticated phone with more features just like that of a laptop computer, then maybe you buy the e90. i guess it all depends on what you want to do with the phone and how you wnat to use it. i guess that should help you decide what to buy. for me though, i would buy the e61i bcoz its more handy and loaded with features that i need. features like email, word document and browse internet. also, you don't have to flip open e61i just like e90. bcoz through wear and tear, the hinges of communicators will get loose. maybe not that quick though for the e90. but i'm sure it will within a year. hope i have helped you in a way. thanks.

Hey all. Which should you buy? Nokia E90 or Nokia E61i. I can not make a final decision. It will be greatly appreciated if someone takes the time to give me their opinion and/or suggestions.

i understand e61i has a camera. does the camera shoot good, crisp, clear pictures with its 2mp resolution? can anybody please enlighten me. thank you.

Wifi on the e61i is easy and convenient to activate. With just a simple press i can quickly search for a wifi network and instantly start browsing. The network searching and access point defining process Is authomatic and very swift. Very impressive on the connectivity front.

Well i dont know about Nokia E61 1, but on the E61, i am completely dissatisfied with their service. It has just been 4 months since i have bought it, and the SMS facility has conked off 4 times already. Nokia has not been able to find a solution and they have been buying time always. When asked, they themselves accepted that this phone comes with that problem. Something least expected from Nokia. My advice would be....Do not trust the E61 and Nokia. Being the leader...they are a bit too complacent. Their phones hang all the time, where as check out a sony ericsson which never hangs. Guys, Sony Ericsson anyday rocks!!! I love the Thump!!!

Is there any person in univers to answer my quarry. E61i doesn't have 3.5 mm jack 4 headset but E62 has, is it ok? Which model is good 4 music. Camera, 3G n Wifi r not factor 4 me but design does. well its good but my problem on the fonr still remains the same.that is saving pictures on the webpage to ur ,like that of communicator.as for d fone is superb and good it does not hang

I got this phone a couple of days ago. Meeeen! It's a race ahead...for SE and Motorola Fans. This is about the best phone Nokia has built. ............. You'll only get convinced when you buy it. Cheers
