          Brian Hass,

I'm not sure. I'm just a customer like you. I did call my favourite store and confronted him with the website I mentioned. He also looked in his system and could tell me the prices (with contracts). He said that the wholesale doesn't have the phone in stock and it is not possible to order it yet. He expected that it would take another two weeks and suggested that I keep calling him for info. That's all I know...

I just got an e-mail today that www.gsmeasy.nl has got the E61i. However, I think they can calculate the prices now and deliver the phone within four weeks. You can browse the site for a price indication. But I don't think they got the phones in stock.

Using it for 3 days now, great improvement from 9300 series. Much faster and the added 1G mem card is great for keeping office docs. Battery life seems good with easy access(No need to open up for typing) Can reach all the buttons with one hand.

                            TechGigg and others:

I have written this comment before, and I would like to share it again:

2GB MiniSD is about the same price as the 2GB MicroSD. For $40 thats good enough, and to be honest, why is it a bad idea to downgrade/upgrade (how ever you see it) from MiniSD to MicroSD? Both can range up to 4GB, and rumored up to 16GB. And Im pretty sure the E61i/E61 can support up to 4GB :) and Im ready to buy this once it comes out, but wait a little as price can drop like the E61 on its first release.

For the Processor, and the RAM, unfortunately, it would stay the same, but I believe the firmware it will come with has a patch that will atleast improve what the E61 handset is suffering from. And I believe the next firmware will release 2 more MB to the available RAM. And the “Original” Music Output*, will surely or should be available with the E61i.

Now, the 4-Way Nav-Key is better than the current joystick, as it gets stiff and hard to navigate when used for a while on a E61. But the bad side is, if you are playing a game, which requires a full digital/rotational support, the nav-key wont support it. But hey the control should be more responsive, which doesnt require much power to open an application, and the keyboard, should be faster at typing, cause’ of the added space in between.

This phone will be released in the U.S., and thats one of the reason why I dont want to get it, meaning other common people will have this. Not sure about the Carrier, but it will be between Cingular, the “New AT&T” (which is rumored to bring back the Blue Sim Cards) and T-Mobile.

E61i we are all waiting for your arrival, please dont dissapoint us. But if you do, N95 or possibly E90, here we come :)

                            * - Make a Voice Call to customer service, or dial a number on the E61, and open or switch to Music Player and play a song, now notice the output is much louder and richer. That is not a bug, but an error and conflicts with the phone, because of the ability to play Media Files while on a call. E61i should have this fixed, and now we can listen to Music and watch Video the way its supposed to sound

P.S. as long as the E61i is not crippled like the E62, were fine!

How's the sound volume through the headphones?

Why change from miniSD to microSD? The availability of 2GB Transflash is much lower than 2GB miniSD and 4GB miniSD is to be released very soon. I can't understand Nokia's choice of removable media.

I've an E61 and i think it has to be one of the milestones of Nokia(slim design with built-in wi-fi,huge beautiful display, excellent battery life that beats the hell out its competitors).

The only complaint i've is that Nokia should include the RotateMe(or similar) programme for every E-Series or maybe N-Series so as to open up more possiblities in the software department.

The E61 was launched without a camera because many firms (and public organizations) do not allow cameras in the work place. I think they will both be sold at the same time, but this i version will be more expensive.

It should be an excellent phone. Otherwise Nokia will be out of the market with regards to these types of lets say blackberry phones.
