im nokia e71 user now im switch to e61i its old its heavy its slow but really ilove this more then e71 or 72 or e63,,,its soooo nice looks very hard male.im happy with this.

Peter, 11 Jun 2010Why is it impossible for me to downoad applications in my E61i?Hi Peter, you can download limited # of application on to your E61i. Please ensure you download and install all these application on to you MicroSD Card rather than on to your on board memory.
Even I have noticed at time in spite of storing all the data on my Micro SD card I still had difficulties in downloading more applications. Best option you have is keep the onboard memory empty as much as possible. And then try downloading the application and every now and they clear the cache and the history that should give way to further downloads!

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2010without the secondary camera you could use 3G for the data ... moreYes the 3G in this phone is working too. i always use this phone to be my laptop modem, its work good can be 3 hours in a good signal. i even ever try to use video calling with my E61i to my sister's N70,its last for 45 minutes for full charges untill low battery, just turn the back camera to my face so she can see me. or try to use a big mirror so both of us can see each other. So... now i want to change my E61i with....?? maybe N900 ..is it good?? or motorola milestone ...???

I personally have used the E61i for a 2good years and over these 2years I had not major trouble with the phone except that I can't use the phone browser to surf rich internet content. Otherwise the phone works like a charm.
I think you can never expect an upgrade of the e61i from nokia. The 2.8inch screen is amazing best to watch movies on. The Camera works like a charm in spite of 2meg camera it take a few decent pics. This phone is best known for its QWERTY keyboard over the years there's no phone that has been built by any company that is as rich as the E61i's keyboard. Its really well placed even a person with the fattest thumb can type really quick on it. The Battery life is amazing and the multi-media feature out the world though it lacks a DiVX player which can be downloaded.

without the secondary camera you could use 3G for the data transfer, and also calling just without the other person seeing you that's all...
the blink light works to notify you if there's a new text message, call, or email. etc... you can turn it on/off...
e61i going slow overtime because overtime it accumulates stuff, programs deleted but leaving behind orphan files, etc... if you hard reset it and install only the essential programs you will find it works fast (enough)...
i use e61i for a long time. my girlfriend gave me e52 so i'm using it mainly and e61i as secondary. but now my dad's using my e61i...
if i were to replace the e61i i'd probably look to the upcoming C6 or perhaps 2.2 android...

But is it good quality touch screen ? I like vivas pro too,but it doesnt have secondary camera ( boring my e61i dont have 2nd camera too) and i ever try x1 the procesor is too slow and x1 touch screen not so good. Duh.....confuse...or better i wait 1 month later to see apple i phone 4 or else. Anyway thanks

i think i have given up on nokia bringing out a phone like e61i. 2.4 inch screens are too small and the keyboard is too cramped (e71, e72) i may have no choice but to switch brand. i'm looking at SE Vivaz Pro

My E61i firmware is 2.0633.65.01 RM-227 nokia E61i-1 . This phone is great.only the keypad lamp goes die,but sometimes turn on its self,maybe the optic cable going something wrong. I use this since august 2007 ,buy in sby. Now the phone work very slow than before so is there any new firmware or any solution ?? Or what phone i should buy again to change E61i ?? Below IDR 5juta / USD$ 550 is N97 or samsung omnia II or else ?? Because all E series has smaller screen excep E61 ,E61i,E62,E90, but my bos has E90 so i dont want to buy E90...so shame.
