very gud fone.with a amazing battery life and keypad...just takes two days to get used with it.. good display and speed.camera is meagre...just ok. well cant blame nokia for a bad camera. anyway. music player is good with a n73 or n70 headfones.stock ones arent any good. it comes with a single piece headfones

Hi can some one tell me if E 61i has smart search option in the phone books. I m using Sony P1i and it doesn't have that option which makes it very hard to search a name in the phone book.

This is a great phone. A bit on the big side (little too wide), but solid, very solid. THis phone and the Nokia E70 are identical in functionality and features. Only difference is the wide screen. The sound quality on this is outstanding and pictures are great with 16mill colors. I thought about selling this phone and using my E70 exclusively, but now having second thoughts and just keeping both of them altogether.

This is not a good phone. The internet access is very second rate, the screen is hard to see, the qwerty keyboard buttons are uncomfortable and it misses loads of calls (the caller just gets put straight onto voice mail). Get the E90, it's superior in every way

Questions 4 ALL:
1) How do you get a pic that you want to set as the wallpaper to cover the entire screen?
2)How can I improve the sound on the E61i? I can hardly hear on the earpiece when someone calls, especially when there is even a little noise around me.
3) Does updating the firmware really hurt or help the phone's performance?

can someone help me, my e61i cant get a signal from my router "linksys wrt54g" it says no gate way reply. i hope someone can help me fix it thanks.

Great phone but the letter in the sms, email etc are to small, i cant read it Anyone can help me to find out if there is a way to make it bigger, I had a blackberry and i could change the font something i finf very usefull.

i've been using the 9500 COMMUNICATOR for the last two years, and have been thinking of upgrading to E90, but finally i got the E61i yesterday!
I'm not a techy guy, so i only try to grasp what it's like to use a phone with my fingers. having used the 9500, i thought E90 could be its only replacement but i've been proven wrong: the E61i can do the same thing i had in my 9500 and expected from the E90. Ok, i dont know what the operating system can or cannot do, or how many bits in the O/S or how many electrons are flowing trough the semiconductors of the e61i/e90, but the e61i works great! i can use it for MSOFFICE stuff, i can copy and paste text like i did in the 9500, the keyboard is backlit like the E90 - the only thing i got less is a 2MP cam instead of the 3.2MP on the E90... i wont complain about the keyboard: adaptation is the name of the game! we had evolved from apes to humans so i'm sure any one can adapt to e61i keyboard! browsing is great, and the fone is just a bit wider than the e90 while it's way slimmer! not to forget the lower price of the e61i compared to that of the e90! so, all in all, i think the e61i is great!

You should see in detail each one of those phones...see what you'ed use from each of them..what's best for you overall.
Here everybody will recommend the E61i. I also own this device for 8 months now and if I had to choose from these 3 models I would pick again Nokia E61i. Ii is a reliable device. I never had any hangups (original software, no upgrades). May be a little slow at times (when you are in a hurry)(and don't get me wrong here) but I bet the others are too. It has lots of third party applications...loads I tell you. Good keyboard, good battery life, good quality construction, good screen (I didn't want a touchscreen and I dont fell the lack of it by any means). I can't think of something bad about it..maybe the lack of front camera for 3G videocalls but you can use the camera on the back (I do not use videocalling).
I am sure the others are good phones to..but I would go with Nokia. I don't know what the i on P1i stands for and I also think that the HTC is HTC4350 and not HTC4530 as you said.
I would advice you to go for E61i (by far), P1 and the HTC in this order...

go for e61i. its better than the other two. trust me because its reliable, can handle office docs, have fast wifi and its a nokia!!!

This is a really good phone. but because of the sound qwality i had to sell it. Even if there is no one in the room the sound qwality sux. THis was a bad decision.

yes there is a new versio.. for me its slightly faster than the old one.. well no major difference really.. if you want to upgrade, be sure to back-up all files because it will reset your phone.. be sure to have a fully charged battery when you do so.

hi all real user of E61i.
i always use my phone to be as a modem of my laptop. never got message from nokia website. but this time this day when i use my E61i to be as a modem , i receive message from nokia updater , the message is a new software is available now. is that real there is a new software for my phone? my phone software now :

Not looking forward to the E71, cause it seems the phone is just goanna be a Mini.
I mean smaller, with smaller display and smaller keyboard…
My fingers aren’t getting smaller, my sight isn’t getting better …u know what I mean.
Using the E61i now since more than 10months and it is really a great phone, just perfect.
*Nokia, I agree anytime to an upgrade in the near future…but don’t shrink it,cause I wouldnt see that as a improvment.

@ all E71 fans, i have been waiting anxiously for the official announcement of E71 since i learnt of its first leak in early Jan08. By now, i guess Nokia might have cancelled its production already, or at best, redesign and/or refeature it. It is extremely sad if Nokia decides to cancel.
