Thanks alot for your inputs. Would also like to know that does E61i score over E90 also. If yes, on what grounds??
Also does it have GPS navgation??
Wat is its MRP in the market??
Doea it have a function of restricting calls(as in accepting calls only from particular no.s) like in SONY??

DEFINITELY e61i OVER P1i...
The P1i is slower... and WiFi is really complicated.
Nokia e61i Rocks! easy, looks good and fast and amazing battery life...
I had a P1i for a week so I know what I am talking about...

Am really impressed with the features of this phone. Am yet to buy it.
I am really confused b/w Nokia E61i and Sony P1i. Its for the first time that I would be purchasing a business phone. Could any experienced person please throw some light on this and mail me.

correction Darin...it's STEREO HEADSET and not MONO
Download LCG Jukebox/MP3 player and you'll be satisfied with the equalizer and timer

I just got this great smartphone in India. There is a feature in the phone which allows to send an SMS to the caller when we reject a call. I have tried this several times by setting it up through Menu->tools->setting->Call Settings->Reject call with SMS. But whenever i try to test this with my other mobile and reject a call, i don't get any SMS. Can anybody help me regarding this?

hi every1! can all of u tell me between P990\P1 n E61i which 1 is a good device? the only disappoint to E61i is the only mono headset, coz i like music.

I've been using the E61i for a couple of months and it's simply fantastic!
Battery life is awesome, the keyboard is great, and the overall performance is very impressive indeed.
In my opinion, had there been a touchscreen and a flash, this phone would have been THE BEST.

I love this phone.
Good Battery life.
Nice screen for video and excel.
Nice sound quality. It is like a month old and I use a 2gig memory card.
But there is one thing I really need help on
I have been installing software on it without any problem. But I noticed that some of the themes I installed are not showing under application manager, and I do not have a file explorer that can search system installation folder I would have deleted it from there. And I really want to uninstall some of them.
To be sincere this phone is ok.
But NOKIA, that does not mean there is no need for improvement, I am anxiously waiting for the music version that will maintain all the current functions and increase the memory to 8gb, add FM, DVB-TV, a camera in the front for video calling, and come with better headset.

I have this phone 3 months now, posting this comment using wi-fi using the phone. Works great, although wish it was a touchscreen also, otherwise a great gadget to have.

Sam thanks for the info! This means that Nokia should have given us the clock speeds of both processors. I am assuming that the 220MHz refers to the processor that deals with telephony. Or are you saying that both processors run at 220MHz?? Furthermore you say that this has no effect on multitasking yet if you compare this phone with a 6120 classic which has a single CPU running at 369MHz surely the E61i is better equipped and will multitask better because one of its two processors is dedicated towards running the Symbian software. Please enlighten me!!

Dual CPU in Nokia means that a processor runs the Symbian software and a separate one runs the telephony (cellular) software. It is not the same as a dual core Intel or AMD processor. It has no effect whatsoever on multitasking. The reason E61 rarely crashes is that the software is good and suits it.

To Sam and RbH7: check out www.forum.nokia.com. It gives detailed tech specs. Nokia state that the E61i; N93 and N95 all have dual CPUs. I take that to mean there are two separate 220 MHz micro processors on the same IC. This should in theory confer better multitasking on the phone. What do you guys think??
