eBay is full of fake cards. I am using an 8GB Toshiba and it works 100%.
Hangs can happen with some cards or some applications, though. It is always possible.

Of course you will need:
* a data plan with your phone network
If you don't have that, you need:
* free wi-fi access with no password (or a password you know)
One of these (or both) are required to access internet, just like any other phone with these features.

E63 has a far more flexible Symbian S60 operating system.
Whether it's good for 'multimedia' will depend on what you are after. If you want sound quality to beat the best Walkmans, no, the E63 will not come close. If you want large-screen web browsing or picture viewing, sorry to say but you need to look for a bigger-screen device; the zooming and scrolling when web browsing on the E63 (or any device with a screen this size) will probably drive you nuts. So will viewing PDF files and Office files. Way too small. It's OK if you want to see something quickly and don't spend all day on it, though. The camera is also very poor, so don't be surprised to be disappointed here. Again, if you are using something less capable, you might be happy with it. It all depends what devices you are used to.
If you understand these limitations (smaller screen compared to other devices and poor camera and not great audio quality) and especially if you used a screen that is smaller before, you will appreciate phones of this type. The business features are good and I would not even consider the C3 as competition for the E63.

... moreI like the E63 because it has a transflective screen that can be seen in the sun along with higher-capacity battery and more keys on the fourth row of the keypad. I also like having no steel battery cover like the E5 (I dislike metal on external surfaces). The e63 also has far more colours in its LCD (the E5 screen is a definite downgrade).
What you get with the E5 is faster processor and more ram and 5 megapixels in the camera (but the camera is still poor and so is the E63's 2 megapixel camera). Integrated GPS and free maps & turn-by-turn navigation are also a great offering! If these are worth it to you, get it.
But the main things is this phone cannot be seen in the sun, which is useless to me. AllAboutSymbian and MobileReview both said the E5 cannot be seen in the sun. They are right and this website isn't.
You may want the E5 for other reasons such as GPS and Ovi Maps (but an external bluetooth GPS like the Holux M-1000 will work much better than the internal GPS chip in the phone). Or more ram and processor speed.
But the e63 is not slow anyway.
The E5's speaker was moved to the back of the phone. Perhaps that will have an influence on speakerphone and ringing performance when laying flat down on a surface compared to the E63, which has it at the top edge of the phone. These are some things to think about, too.
In summary, both phones offer something to the user; in some areas the E63 is better, in some areas the E5 is better. It's up to you to decide which areas are more important to you.
Perhaps if you read some of the other reviews around the web you can make up your mind more easily. Good luck!

Any USB 2 card reader does a far better job. Nokia's specifications say: Micro-USB connector, full-speed
"Full Speed" means USB 1. So it looks like you didn't try the USB speeds in any detail.

Hi, guys. After using Nokia E63 for 2 months, here is a quick review of the phone.
Design, Built, Performance, interface and Features-
Phone is made of plastic yet is looks much better than E71 which is made from metal. Keys are best in E series, keys have proper grip for suitable typing. Phone built is neat, sleek, proper and Stylish enough. On the back rubber works, it gives you a holding grip. Camera is mediocre with flash, 2MP, autofocus and video recording. Battery is mind blowing, littrely its very very huge. Charging takes about 1.5 hrs. 3.5 mm jack is great but bud is not attached to frame. USB 2.0 IS fine, memory card slot is capable of taking 32GB and not slowing down your system. Quick access keys are great. WiFi is awesome, giving 150 MBPS of speed through a compitable router. 3G works fine, giving 2MBPS of speed easily. Symbian OS is really great and handy, with ease of access. You can install crores of apps from ovi store (sisx, sis, jar, jad etc.). Overall it is a stud, ruff tuff mobile with plenty of features and apps.
But it lacks 3.5G, front camera and GPS facality. If you can live w/o these features, E63 is the best mobile phone in the solar system within a budget.
So go for it and enjoy your E63, I am enjoying my one a lot.
