Moshier, 13 May 2009Hi Everybody, if anyone knows how can i activate the Maps ... moreYou have to purchase external gps receiver connected via bluetooth to your E63 it will work but it is not worthy to do so as gps receiver is costly.it is better to get a hand phone with build-in gps receiver.hope it helps..

On official opera website, i found this :
"If you have any other S60 phone, you can select the Opera for S60 3.x. Unsupported Devices: E51, E71 and E90, for these devices we recommend Opera Mini."
Of course i assume E63 has the same platform as E71.
That's why it cannot fully works on my E63.

i intalled v8.65 twice on mine and my friends E63, which is the latest version available for symbian s60 3rd. but i found it rather hard to operate. i only able to enter the address i want to go, and thats it. after the page opened, i was unable to click any links or buttons. i tried any differend key like enter, space, 5, center navi-key, but still nothing happened.
so the navi-key only works for scrolling the page up and down. no more, not event jump between links.
so what's actually i did wrong???

E63 has no built-in GPS device, therefore any maps aplication need an external device like bluetooth GPS. there are so many type and brand available in the market, just search for "bluetooth gps" in google.
without this, the maps application can still run but you can not gain your accurate posisition on the earth. because your phone only report the position of the BTS, not yours.

some people feel glad with the battery life. they could get 4 days with normal use.
i just wondering how and what kind of effort they did to gain more battery life.

nyuh, 13 May 2009is there anyone know what is the default memory card of e63... moreregarding your questions :
navi wheel: i found it nice to use. just ordinary.
red eye: there is no such feature, except flash, night mode, seq mode, self timer, wb adjust, and colour tone.
default memory in package is : micro sd 1GB.
music: don't expect to much. built in loud speaker just fine but it's only mono. pretty loud and clear. but the handsfree, uhh..... s*cks!!!
and when i connect it to external speakers, sound emabrassing. the power is unstable, heard like it lost its power suddenly after every bass beat. SE phones even non walkman series beat it easily.
But for me it's still worth something anyway, just because of wifi, qwerty, and price.

I bought the e63 and it been hanging, took it back for a software upgrade. It still hangs, drops calls/unclear calls and the keypad backlight goes off intermittently when am texting. What could be up with it?

i know you might dissapoint regarding to my experience, but i wrote the truth which i found by my self. first impression about this phone is the qwerty, wifi and price (i bought it for Rp. 2.825.000,- 2 weeks ago) official nokia warranty. and i thought it's just great with 1500mah. i dont know what's actually going wrong but in fact i'm not the only one who complaining about battery life. i know there're some people feel just fine about it, but for me, it's rather bothering.
should i try for warranty claim???

My battery lasts 2-4 days. ;)
with:
1. 30 + SMS with Vibra on everyday
2. WLAN for 10-20 mins per day
3. MP3 30 mins to 1 hour per day
4. 5-10 mins calls
awesome battery life and fast WIFI browsing

I use e51 before then change it to samsung i780'which is has a bad performance...ive sell it,and bought this e63..and once again.feel so great with nokia phone,which is so user friendly...e63 is a great for phone for its price..not so many difference beetwen e71 & e63..then the 3,2mp camera and hspda in e71.and e71 is more elegant.but once again for its price e63 is rockks...

singgih, 12 May 2009I think the battery durability is less than i expected. I t... moreare u sure about ur complainment? bcoz i'd like to buy this phone. consider about ur complain that the batt is still weak though it was set into gsm mode & lowest brightness?? hmm..
as far as i know changing my cellphone network into gsm only without reduce the brightness would take 2 days normal using (i'm using nok.n73 and 5320)
