Yes it does support java, i hava a load of it in mine. Pls note to choose E71 if you are prompted to select phone type from any site you wish to download from. E63 is not yet in most data base and the chances is that you may not see it, so choose E71 as your phone and enjoy.

Hello!
I'm thinking about to buy this phone. Can anyone write something about the materials?
I've seen E63 today, and it seems to me that the material on the back side of phone is not good, looks like a rubber on plastic. What about scratches?
Thanks!

Bought E63 last week and was pleasantly surprised by it favorable function vs price ratio. As a former Plam Treo user, I miss the touch screen but I'm thankful my phone doesn't hang on me anymore.
The operating system is stable although not lightning fast but is acceptable for business user like me. Contact function has some quirkiness i.e. not very userfriendly but not unbearable. Camera - 2mp is adequate but not fantastic-fine with me.
What I like most about the phone is the price and built dimensions (slim & light compared to Palm). It has almost all the functions of Palm Pro (except for touch screen) and costs me only $300. Palm Pro cost twice.
