Whoah.. An E-Series in a plastic construction, Touch-Sensitive Navi Wheel and a 3.5 mm audio output jack?? Don't you think that those characteristics do belong to the N-Series recently??

Oh well... Perhaps the QWERTY keyboard is there to prove us wrong. Anyway.. This is a nice enterprise solution indeed. Cheapest S60 and E-Series launch price I guess?

      @People below

1.The battery is 1500 Mhz and this will rock.
      2.The proccessor speed is 369.
3.This is not identical to E71..this is made of plastic while E71 is metal, this has bigger screen,3.5mm headset,2mp camera while E71 has 3.2mp,no GPS,and no HSDPA mean its 3G while E71 is 3.5G.

Specifications are not bad. But what is the cpu speed? May be 220 Mhz?

Ed, 13 Nov 2008Looks like its Nokia cutting corners just to make it accept... moreI dont know much about the Push Mail services in E63 as its not available in Surat as of yet. But I have been using the push mail services in Nokia E50 and believe me it works absoluotely fine. No problems as such. Only make sure that once you configure mail for exchange - Dont your Nokia PC suite for Sync.
                    Regards Dharmang

Looks like its Nokia cutting corners just to make it acceptable with the younger generation but this would make the phone less business like. I am using the E71 and although the GPS isn't a priority cos I got a dedicated one, it does come in handy when you need to find your way around on foot in a city or check for the best route to take before you even get into the car. As for the camera, the 3.2MP isn't much, I think the 2.0MP one will be worse.

As for the 3G speed, it's a step back for in Asian countries, we are all talking about 3.5G, maybe in US, where 3G is a rarity, it could be acceptable.

No Blackberry compatibility, guess Nokia still trying to push their own Nokia Email system which unfortunately is not a push mail service although the phone is featured to have push mail capabilities.

Have anyone tried the MsExchange push mail function with any of these phones? Please share your experience.

Quite honestly, the Nokia E63's feature set is quite forgivable for the price. Still, the phone manages to land with a high cost:benefit ratio.

To summarize the difference between the E71 and the E63:
It lacks HSDPA, GPS, has a less capable camera (2.0 mpx vs 3.2 mpx), and the lack of a metal casing.
It has a 3.5 mm audio jack which is compatible with most devices.

And for the power users, even the most techie among us, how often do we use HSDPA and GPS? A corporate executive would be happy to download just headers or full-text emails that can be easily done through a basic 3G connection. HSDPA becomes crucial for multimedia and streaming content. Even among 3G counries, the quality and penetration of HSDPA is not at full. Besides, most enterprise users still rely on WLAN connection.

As for the GPS, I have an E90 but rarely use this service.

Although a 3.2 mpx unit is always better than a 2.0 mpx unit, you wouldn't purchase an enterprise model if camera was your priority.

If business and QWERTY messaging is your thing but don't mind losing GPS and a 3.2 mpx snapper, the Nokia E63 might just do it for you.
