AnonD-7804, 06 May 2011The issue here sir, is not about the feasibility of USB OTG... moreI was not talking about the connection between USB OTG and the lack of a SD card. I was simply stating my understanding of USB OTG and what it's supposed to do.

Nokia never tried to justify anything. They never said USB OTG is a replacement for SD. USB OTG is just another feature.

Saying that, I also think that having an SD card slot would have been very nice, though I think most people will find the 16GB internal memory adequate, but of course there are situations when you need more memory and the lack of an SD card will be problematic.

I am ever so sorry I got the E7. It in my opinion is a slightly upgraded N97. First time in over 10 years Nokia disappoints me. Even my HTC Wildfire is better.

                            ....Hi,
USB OTG and no card slot to me is fine because, most of the smartphone buyers already own a laptop, desktop, HDMI ready TV, memory stick and some freedom to choose. Lets not be so rigid to say, ah!! A nice device, looking forward to own one....

But costs more than some laptops anyway.

When you say 4'' wide screen, do you really mean it?

My Nokia N97 is said to be 3.5'' but actually 3''. C7 is also not 3.5''......I used a ruler and I discovered that your dimensions are always devoid of 0.5'', for all smartphones posted.

I was so crushed when Nokia made the Windows Phone announcement, and all but abandoned Symbian, after being a die-hard fan and using only Nokias for 15 years, I decided to give Nokia one last chance by buying the E7. I couldn't use it more than six days.

Apparently, it only has push mail through MS Exchange or for Yahoo mail. Reports around the net say that Nokia is unable to provide a non-yahoo push mail solution on any Symbian^3 device, at least for the moment.

Secondly, I couldn't see any paid apps on Ovi Store, because in India, Nokia has an exclusive deal with Reliance. If you don't have a Reliance number, you can't buy apps.

In both instances, contacting Nokia only got me canned replies saying 'This is not possible now, we'll let you know if anything changes'.

These two things irritated me so much, I sold the phone after six days and got myself an HTC Desire Z. I'm glad I did. Take my advice, if you're going to use the phone for anything more than calls, SMS and Microsoft Exchange Mail, get yourself an Android phone.

Keep an open mind, I promise you won't regret it.
