I hope o2 uk bring this out on prepay at £329.99 like they did with SGS then i will buy brand new for sure,we all will ,all 10 of us ..We (me and mates ) still like symbian and Nokia but time & time again we are forced to suffer or rethink devices..At moment using SGS and nokia n91 from my collection but by hell its slow,painfully slow..
I hope E7 is released with nokias new s60 built in with all the other upgrades..When i buy a smartfone with all the extras baked into ROM it feels better than add on after add on.
Nokia need a card slot really for allowance of the faster memory card.Some say the USB OTG will allow on/off transfer of video recordings and fotos taken,but,thats if you bring a hard disk ,flash usb and absolutly the attachment (micro usb-usb)dongle thingy.
Nokia say 680MHZ is enuf but i do beg to differ and if Nokia keeping taking 2 steps back each time they will keep failing.They put in smaller batterry so any speed increase will hammer whats left of it after a speed upgrade.
Ohh Nokia why do you take 2 steps forward and 3 steps back???????????????????????????

From Perth, 08 Jan 2011Does anyone know when the E7 will be available in Australia... moreI'm in the same boat with you. Used to own an N97. Got fed up with it. Waited for the E7 when it was announced in September. Got tired of waiting.
What I ended up getting is the HTC Desire Z. If you like a physical keyboard, you may want to consider this phone. If you have the patience, the E7 may be available in a few months. Just guessing. In Canada, it will be available in the spring.

pr... moreRam at 500MB is still low and since banks of RAm are in 128MB,256MB,512MB increments 500MB IS not really viable..I dont know how you or Nokia come up with thAt figure.
Anyhows RAM at 1GB (1024MB) should be in future fones for add ons ,cough-cough n97,plus the amount of newer facilities running in background from CLOUD based usage.
I am saving for E7 which should arrive with new s60 browser ,but, Nokia have had a chance to UP THE PROCCESSOR to 720MHZ in this time..They wont have course bec ause it will affect the piddly battery.What happened to the ultra slim BP-4L at 1500mA..Typical Nokia,i have already lost faith in them but still willing to give E7 a chance.
Verdict; even a hardened Nokia/Symbian fan like me is starting to just give up,,now if thats a hardcore fan imagine what the person in the strEet is like..I cannot see a future for nokia cause they keep trying to follow Apple..Apple did that type of fone,its been done every company STOP trying to copy ,DO YOUR OWN SMARTFONES?????? DO YOU UNDERSTAND APPLE HAS DONE THE TOUCHSCREEN....
Until Nokia gets back to good old n95-style smartfones with perhaps touch as well as buttons they will lose out..

pr 2.1 s^3 os will be use on nokia x7,e6,e7
c7,c6-01,n8 has pr 1.1
they will be updated to pr 2.1 in feb.
pr 2.1 can use higher ram and cpu requirements.
cpu upto 800mhz and ram upto 5oo mb can be used.
pr 2.2 will be release in may.
pr 2.3 will release in july.
pr 2.4 aka s^4 will implement in september at nokia world in london.
s^4 can use cpu of more than 1 ghz and ram upto 1gb.
s^4 will continue to evolve.

Does anyone know when the E7 will be available in Australia? Not sure if this is the phone I want. Had a N97 that was a load of rubbish. Less than 12 months old and I can't even make a call on it and still 12 months left on the contract so I am getting a free upgrade. Also considering the HTC Aria and the Samsung Galaxy S. Like the HTC Desire HD but it is only available with Vodafone so why bother. All suggestions welcome.

i like this phone bcoz of its fsecure function and nokia always has good back up of there phone
