I think Symbian^3 is really killing Nokia right now as a touch screen experience. It's not up to par with even iOS ( despite symbian having a strong core). What I'm talking about is that Symbian has bad User Interface.
They really need to step up.
I think Nokia E7 should have Android OS... even with a stupid fixed focus camera... the Android OS would change the entire experience with the E7.

What about the FM transmitter??..
Nokia E7 doesn't even have FM transmitter!!,
while most of the Nokia mobiles do!!,
Its not even good for Music..
y did they made E7 lacking sooo manyy things??...:s :(

This phone will be launched with these specifications only... nothing more... nothing less...
Now coming to doubts/question/:
1) Document Editor - E7 has document editor
2) Memory - Only 16 GB onboard memory and no card slot
3) Fixed Focus camera - Yes it is fixed focus.This is
E-series targeted towards business class people
who usually don't necessarily use phones as
camera. And for photography there is seperate
products (digital cameras). In this case you know
it in advance that it is fixed focus lens so if
you don't like it no one is pressurizing you to
buy it.
4) Weight - 176g (It is made of Anodised aluminium
casing and it has physical keyboard as
well so its justifies its weight)
5) OS - It has the latest Symbian^3 OS. Every OS has
its pros and cons so does this one. Nokia wants to
stick with Symbian its their choice. Now you are
free to choose if you wanna go for Nokia products
or any other brand.
Now if you compare E7 with competitors it may be lagging behind few and leaving behind few. It completely depends upon the price at which it will be launched(prices vary according to region). Its a phone with good specs which could have been better but as always more specs come for additional price unless the manufacturer is very generous.

I notice that people are raving about the apparent flaws with the E7. They are highlighting the camera and the lack of ability to expand memory using a storage card. I notice that these are the same flaws within WP7, yet the critics wave how great the software is. WP7 doesn't even provide the option of USB on the Go. So, is there a bias against Nokia? or There is just a bunch of hypocrites who cant stand to see Nokia succeed.

if we go by specs, this phone is complete crap. no card slot. memory limited to 16GB. no autofocus. what the hell are the NOKIA guys doing???

Sami, 12 Nov 2010If u r interested in Document editor (Word, Excel, etc.) it... morei think gsm arena make mistake that e7 does not has document editor since if you check at nokia web site you will find the e7 has document editor.
