Sure, if nokia use Android, they will earn more profit.. But Nokia is much more ambitious, they choose to develop their own OS so they will have much more control of their software market, which is huge..
For those nokia haters, please stop whining "Please use Android NOKIA"..

Most of nokia hater's are complaining bout processor and screen resolution, i wish nokia would release phone with atleast 1ghz processor and higher resolution screen to shut all nokia hater's mouth.

saw a hands on video in YouTube. also read a few reviews .. This phone has many good features, bt i'll point out the bad ones :
1. BUGGY TRANSITIONS BETWEEN SCREENS. huge delay in various multitasking. very very slow. touch triggered and launch various applications which are not wanted. and at times, the touch is not very responsive.
2. Symbian has facilities to add widgets, but the positioning is a bit restricted and many more.
I dont understand why NOKIA doesnt learn from the past. I dont say SWITCH OVER TO ANDROID as most others are doing. But i still support that NOKIA should give more impetus to MEEMO ... it is truely powerful and has high potential.
Frankly NOKIA, rather than releasing a model every fortnightly, come up with a real cool device oonce in a quarter. All of your previous smart phones had some thing good in them, like n900 had an excellent browsing experience, but lacked features and was bulky. n97 had a rather sleek design and good applications but the video experience wasnt good enogh...............
Get in the best of all your previous smartphones.

This phone looks amazing!!! The black one is sexy, but whats with the no MicroSD card slot! That's a deal breaker for me. I guess I'm picking up the Nokia N8!

The hardware design, the sliding mechanism are fantastic. OMG! the CPU, screen resolution and the BATTERY will keep buyers at bay.

i don't know why nokia don't bring high resolution phones...i have nokia 5530...all phones except the n900 have almost the same resolution ie, 360*640...i wonder when they will go beyond tht.

[deleted post]so what? Any phone manufacturer can do the same. High end is the introduction of usb otg, a better 12mp cam, Qt, CBD, etc. Nokia don't just go with the trend, they innovate.
Why don't you add s-amoled and ips lcd on your list? That could make me believe. And samsung's upcoming hummingbird processors that claims to be battery efficient. Until that time comes when they prove that 1ghz and up phones can last more than 3days without charge i will not call them high end.

i know many are disappointed with specs of e7 but it is a great fone for business pupose. the ram and cpu is going to be enough for the new symbian as s^3 is battery friendly. 8 mpx without autofocus is not bad as we hve seen fones like 6300, or 5700 with just 2mpx n doin gr8 compared 2 many others. we shud just wait for hanset to come n then criticize. the things that disappoints me are no fm transmitter and USB OTG cable not shipping along with d fone. and it has got sec camera as vga. for those who doubt on the display quality, dis phone is equipped with extra dark colour screen features. plz see this video n find d display quality
