ok, I think we can all agree that the nokia E70 is the best mobile phone in history, closely followed by the nokia 8110i from the Matrix!!!!!!

No auto key lock... but you can install free app that does it, so i cant see a problem :)

I cant belive that you do so much fuss becouse of the key lock... After all its phone with operating system so you can instal any app, including auto keylock.

Unbelievable, I didn't want to believe you so I checked the manual and you are right! Nokia often does this, dropping elementary essential features randomly from models for no visible reason. Wierd, wierd!

Saw a silver one at Media Markt in town today and tried it. As soon as the backlight came on, I could hardly see the numbers anymore. I asked about the black one but they said they only had the silver one. Nokia should deliver more black ones. The 6800 had beter contrast

Is there any Nokia E70 available in black? I could find only the silver ones...
Someone said that the black ones are the test models only. Is this true?!

Two really fast tips: (1) buy a good carrying case since it's a little slippery at times and (2) update the firmware by downloading Nokia Updater.

better if you get both K750 and E70,.. for an amazing smartphone performance E70 is the worthy choice and K750 must be combined in order for you to have an amazing smartphone and multimedia phone... there's nothing very part good in multimedia if you change K750 to it, but if you use both, that'll be a very good choice...
pen key serves as Uppercase and lowercase character selection...

will i do good if i change k750i to it?? i mean, what about photos quality?? in my opinion they are really good, but i don't know much about photography, so...:) i think that it will be a right choice, what do you think?? and another, stupid question (but i don't know anything about symbian) - what is the pencil key for??

My E70 finally arrived through on online center here in Denmark - oooooooooooh, it's slick.
I was surprised, they even made the keyboard in a Nordic version! with Å, Ø, and Æ - not just a standard generic English keypad, wasn't expecting that!
Can't wait to have fun with it - wish me luck!
Any hot tips for a first-time user????

Actually there is such a software for Nokia E70
the Mobile MSN Messenger for S60V3 phones.
I know cause I have it installed in my E70 :-). I downloaded it from Microsoft China but there are many locations hosting this file in the internet. Search the google with the phrase
"mobile msn messenger for s60v3" and you will
find it.

Billy, try Windows phone. or buy third party softwares like Agile Messenger or mig33. though it's not really certain that they support symbian 3rd ed

I've got my E70 and after about 3-4 weeks. The joystick stopped working only works in sellection only.
Every Time i contact nokia for any new software or programs or even theams or games i found the same message till today "there is nthing till now for this phone"
even the programs which my freinds use to exchang with each other for any other nokia phone when i trayed to install it "this program is not supprted with this phone"
Searching in the PhoneBook must be Advan
ced Contacts DB like the comenicator becous it is a buessnes Phone.
It must have a Fax due to it is a buessnes Phone.
I have this phone now for more than 4 month and i want to sale it by any price and buy any other phone

For the smartblond:
1. Go to Menu - Connections - Conn. mngr. - Availab. WLAN - Options - Define pccess point.
2. Menu - Tools -Settings - Connection - Access points - Edit. (put in your password for the network you are using)
3. Menu - Web - Options - Settings - Access point - (Choose: Always ask or user defined)
