I just called a retailer to buy this phone; it seems that it will be out some time later July or early August.

Not sure if this means anything but on Nokia's website the E70 no longer has "coming soon" under the phone so maybe this means it got released today...

The Finish website still shows the E70 in these colors (black keys), but the Finish *manual* now shows it in silver.

So I guess that's that: yet another model that's practically unreadable in the pub or disco. Do Nokia engineers actually USE their products?!

          Shucks, I miss my 6800.

Nokia is having production issues with this phone because of the screen. The phone will be delayed by a few weeks. But the wait is worth it.

Will the phone contain GSM 850 for use in the USA as well or will this just be a phone for Europe/Middle East?

If not, when will the USA version be available?

These new E-series and N-series phones with Symbian and Series60 have all the same new Nokia Browser.

                          To 'Murtaza'

Don't confuse HSCSD with HSDPA. HSCSD is just a 'High Speed' version of 'Circuit Switched Data', and is often known as 2.5G, which has similar transfer speeds to GPRS (up to 56Kbps).

HSDPA on the other hand stands for High Speed Download Packet Access, which has faster transfer speeds than current 3G/UMTS enabled handsets(!) and is widely regarded as '3.5G' -reportedly with speeds closer to 14.4Mbps!!!

...This fone is amazing, but not THAT amazing...yet!

According to the specifications at the Nokia's official site, it has HSCSD.

I think the browser will be the same as in the E61. See the following for two clips of it in action (v. Mac-esque)!

¤¤¤¤ ...is there a phone powerful enough to process flash animation online, or is there a mobile version of flash media...and since this phone has wlan capabilities does that mean web pages open up with a mobile window or a shrunk full desktop window ¤¤¤¤
