Hi, guys!
I'm searching for a new cel in my country and I was interessed on dual chip (EX115), but I'm thinking about other possibility: buy a smartphone.
E71 is one of my possibilities (I haven't cash to buy better cell), anyway, I would like a cell with cool interface and I want to know about this aspect: the original interface is like the pictures? that could be upgraded? exist cool interfaces for this phone?

isner, 24 Jan 2011guyz im really confused between e71 and c6 plz help......ahmm ill tell you the difference between e71 nad c6,
e71 - very useful in internet browsing, good quality image in taking up pictures, long battery life and it looks so great in physical appearance, and u can use many application ithout hanging. soft buttons that allows user to type comfortably, 3.2mp camera with led flash.
c6 - plastic case much weak compare to e71, it hangs when u run many applications.
good wifi but it is not better than e71,
it only have 2mp camera wihtout flash.
i suggest u to choose e71. thanks

yes the internet and wifi connection of this phone is really good,, better than nokia c6,
this phone is really great, I recommend you guys to have this, its very useful, camera is good, and it can download files even 20mb.

Anonymous, 25 Jan 2011how much is nokia e71 in the philippines?since brand new nokia e71 is no longer in the market, you can only find those 2nd hand unit with the price that ranges to P6000-P8000 depending on how smooth and the condition of the phone.

isner, 24 Jan 2011guyz im really confused between e71 and c6 plz help......My eldest Sister uses E71 while i use C6. The both have all most the same features but just that, C6 is very much newer and Advance than E71 in production and lesser camera quality than C6. I believe if u have C6, you will enjoy it most.

this is the only phone that i have more than two years. and after this two years of usage i still love it, and even now i don't want to replace it with something else. battery life for me is amazing. 5-6 days with 2g, great keyboard, great everything for me. who knows. maybe when the e7 will be out, and it will be good there'll be a threat for my one on the market ;)

Well.. That's true, considering you will still have to wait a bit until the announced products hit resellers.
As per your criteria:
1) Executive look
I'd say E71 wins. Its casing is full metal. It'll be great if you can get a black E71, it looks a lot better.
E5 only has metal backplating, the rest of its body is reinforced plastic (it also looks slightly too colorful for that executive look).
2) Long Battery life especially Long Talk time
E5 lasts longer. In standby, it winds hands down. I think it's currently one of the best value (if not the best) in terms of speed-battery-price ratio.
3)
Free from Soft. Hanging & other Software related troubles.
I can't say much about E5, since it's still too new. I'm guessing you'll still have problems because it's a Symbian v3 with new modifications to look more modern. They WILL release more updates in the future.
E71 has matured, I personally don't think they will release any more firmwares after the current one (if they are, it's most probably Ovi related, not system stability fix).
I can't remember when the last time my E71 froze.

4) Durability
I didn't see any durability improvements from E71 to E5. I'm not sure about E5's plastic quality. It's tough, but I don't know how good it holds when you drop it. Some people E5's LCD screen is very easy to scratch.
I've dropped my E71 three times on tile floor and it still works fine without freezing. E71 has its own quirk tho. In a dusty environment, the dust can slip behind the LCD cover. Extra consideration:
In terms of performance, E5 is a definite improvement over E71. Faster processor, more responsive, with longer battery life. It can handle a lot tasks.
If you're going to run a lot of apps simultaneously (Instant messaging, Music player. Social Networking) in your phone, E71 can be slow.
If component positioning in the phone matters to you, you would probably like E71 more. E5 has some weird component placement (power charging slot, antenna in the bottom of the casing, etc.)
