I have had an E71 for over a year & the lens on the back overheated and smoke was coming from the handset. i have not taken a picture in many days. has any1 else had the same problem? please comment

-App. Manager
-Options
-Settings
On the "Software Installation" select "All" and then OK
And then the next one is the "Online Certification Check". Select "Off" then OK.....
Now you're to install Themes...you must install themes that are supported for Nokia E71 and it must have file extension of .sisx

Linus, 29 Jul 2010Pls i need help, my e71 mouthpiece is not functioning well ... moreYou have to do the second level reset on the your phone, that is by taking the battery out while the phone is on, if that reset doesnt work, you have to do Master Reset or Master Clear on the phone. PLEASE before you do the Master Clear, save first your picture, musics or iformation to your memory card and your contact numbers should be saved to your sim card.

I doubt as the data has yet to come over the net. You can work the maps without a GPS and get approximate positions with the help of mobile towers but internet is still required.
In OVI maps you download the maps to your phone, hence it may be possible there. I have never tried. You can try, if it works, tell this forum what and how you did.

my e71 can't be on. it starts to be on then off. I gave to a technicians they tried to reinstall the software but they couldn't manage it. If you have a solution let me know. mesfin from Ethiopia
