I am the right person to answer this Q.
I was in NY in Jan - Feb 2009. With my Nokia E61i. And without spending a dime I was in communication almost always. At home it was the WiFi and outside the home I used to stand below a tall building (very many of them there) and scan for WiFi. And was never disappointed. there was always an unsecured WiFi connection available and I made the best of it. Browsed the net. As far as talking to my friends it was generally Skype that I used and talked to them. But you should never misuse the connection thus obtained.
So, rest assured that your E71 will work more than you think. take it with you. However for emergency purposes do subscribe to International roaming (but never use it unless you are in a very tight spot).

I have a problem using the default browser. Almost 75% its default browser failed to connect to the internet. I can use the opera mini and opera mobile however. Anyone know how to solve my default browser problem?

you can only buy a dual phone from the china shops only they only fake nokia and blackberry phone.

if u want a NOKIA with dual sim, try to buy a FAKE NOKIA phone which are China Made Phones...
Samsung has some phones with dual sim slot...

1st use one sim card and after that turn off ur e71 and remove ur 1st sim card and insert 2nd one and turn one ur mobile that's all...,

welll ... i js bought mY nokia e71 original in white .... it workxx fantastic ...
M having js one issue ... i cannot install themes on my cell it gives me some certificare expires eror....
any one know how to solve this prblem den plxxx help me ... i.l b waiting for your response

This phone is hard to beat. It handles documents well, very fast UI, full of features, very slim, solid and stable.

really its just a stone,its lokks 100% and battery is 100%nice but other i dont like it.e63 is nice and nokia 5233 is really far better than this.

I’ve been trying E72, but know I think I'll be back to my E71. E72 has incredibly unstable problem with it's firmware and still can't solved with upgrading to the new firmware.
