I am planning to buy a nokia E71. But I am als... moreI have tried my friend's E52. These are my impression:
- E52 multitap keypad is very comfortable to use
- Symbian 3rd FP2 OS that look more eye catching than E71
- Email with nokia messaging seem good on it
- 3.5 mm audio jack, good for listening music with your favorite headset
- Build quality is not as good as E71
- E52 i tried had issue with lossing voice when making calls, also some firmware issue like continous warning that inbox is full, despite it's not

Hello guys,
I am planning to buy a nokia E71. But I am also impressed with nokia E52. A bit confused. Can someone help me to sort this out please. i am unable to make my decision between these two. some say that there are many issues with E52 is this true? please help me out

Please do not even try to install Windows stuff on your Symbian phone. What you are talking of is for Windows mobiles. Too bad that ours is Symbian.
I am still on this forum as the iPhone has been swiped by my wife. She like it so much. Anyway, I love my E71 still.

nice to have you back! i have a question, will microsoft windows mobile pc 2003 or a later version work on e71? a program that i wanted to put in my phone said that it would require "microsoft windows mobile pc 2003 or later" to install successfully.

All the phones that you mentioned in your list plus the N series are all smart phones because they can do so many things that just a few years back only computers could do. E series included in that list. (And very soon you will have phones with multi-tasking, thus making then smarter than present smart phones.) But those phones are not business phones as they all do not have document editing facilities and a qwerty keypad. Imagine that your day to day working depends on sending a large number of emails. You tell me what would be more convenient, typing on a normal keypad or a qwerty keypad. And not forgetting typing documents with a normal keypad. Your keys would go bad very soon as you have to press them a number of times for one character.
I hope I have given enough to prove an E71 a smart business phone.
Your name of E71 shows that you are smart enough to doubt your own smartness.

Hey mates, i still cant understand why they call this as BUSINESS and smart phone??????
Even in 6700,5230,5233, and like all N-series,X-series..., one can use gprs,email,chat,videocall, highspeed browsing and download provided 3g persist.,
Only extra feature I find in this is document editor.
Is it for this its called a smart phone and business oriented mobile?????????
Any smart person to answer?????

E71, 17 Jul 2010Guys tell this, can you take a snap with secondary camera?... moreYou can't use the secondary camera to take picture with built in software. It is only for video calling purpose. Battery life totally depends on how you use it. If you use it only for talking then roughly one hour talking avg. a day the battery will remain for three days. Listening music will consume more battery than radio. And if you use internet (specially via wlan) it will cause the battery to drain its life more fast.

Attention !!!guys dont buy this phone! Its really a scrap! Its not even 4 days i started using it..ive visited nokia care more than 4times..ive flashed it 3times n still d problem is not rectified.! It has alot problems in it probably its software is not proper! I as a user of this phone pray u not to buy this phone.!!!

Anonymous, 16 Jul 2010I been using E71 for 1 year~ overallis great~ only the batt... moreI completely agree with the below par camera performance..its the same for me..but regarding the battery usually it lasts for 2 whole days on an average..thers a prob with the handset for sure..try upgrading the firmware..or may be the preinstalled battery was faulty which needs to be changed once.

I been using E71 for 1 year~ overallis great~ only the battery and camera doesnt work so good..Camera are bad at the nite and dark area even with flash on~ My battery only able to last 12 hour a day~ i need to charge it every single nite which is irritating~
