To those of you who worry about durability of E71 i suggest you read review of Eldar on mobile-review. E71 is made with scenario that frustration business man usually throw out their phone if get problem.

hi there vinay!
i woke up this morning horrified. my daughter played with my phone last nite,and now the screen is full of scratches. is there any way to get rid of them? haven't heard of screen laminating in my country.

Sachin, 26 May 2010Vinay & all, i have found below info on internet about ... moreThanks for the info Sachin. But I do not think it is correct as my 15 digit IMEI No has 03 as the 7th and 8th digits. And incidentally, it does not have any /s in it. It is a plain 15 digit number.

i have been using e71 for almost an year...this was my first ever heavy budget phone....was disappointed with the perfomrance for first 6 months with problems like hanging, not able to see the images. dint have much time to read reviews and all to rectify the problem...also was afraid to give it to nokia care worried about data and the time for repair...finally got rid of the hanging problem after updating the phone sftware...also recently got to know many new things this phone has but never used....a very nice phone overall...

Talat , 25 May 2010which one to purchase E71 or E72...going to the market afte... moreCamera is better on e72 also for music listener as it has dedicated 3.5 mm jack. In term of look and built quality, i still prefer e71. E71 is cheaper too plus firmware is more stable

I do not remember the code off hand, but I got it from the Nokia Care. It gives you the total time the phone has been used. And is fool proof. Please find time to visit them. As regards the country of origin, I think that also is with the Nokia Care. Scandinavian Nokias are the best.
Waiting for a newer model sounds very exciting, but once you get a proven item, just go for it.

How do I solve the problem og having my E71 failing to receive MMS and GPRS settings read and saved on the set. My E71 fails to read the aforementioned setting everytime I try to save on it. It popsup the following message " Unable to open. Message type not supported." I gtried the settings several times after I restored it from my laptop. I even tried factory settings and all heve failed.Any help.

hey m using e-71 from last 4-5 months.....there is a problem in my e-71.......my phone gets hang most of the times... at least once in two three days......overall m fully satisfied wid this phone but i dont know why gets hang...is this the problem wid every e-71?

Is it applicable for only Nokia or all the brands. also, how to check country of manufactuing. Is it based on details mentioned on battery or any other method. Just let me know, which country make E71 (or other E series phone) are better. Lastly, tell me, is it worth to wait for new launch E5 & C6 Nokia phones or E71 is better to go ahead.Thanks in advance for your advice.

Thanks for having such a high opinion of me which I do not deserve.
As regards a new phone, all brands pay a very small amount as profit to the dealers as all the brands have their own service centers. earlier the dealer used to bear the cost of warranty which is being borne by the company these days. Hence the low profit per piece. So, if you find a difference of over Rs 1000/-, it should raise the doubt antenna. There has to be something wrong. May be the country of manufacture is different. And that makes the difference. So, I would recommend that go to both the dealers and ask them to dial the code to find the usage of the phone. This code gives the number of hours that the phone has worked. Should give you the hint. Rs 13000 one is recommended. Rs 1000 will not matter much if the phone turns out to be the right piece. Of course, you cant guarantee anything in electronics.
Hope this is helpful to you. But let me assure you that E71 is the perfect choice.
