I have my e71 since july and its really
easy to hack, i play ngage, and so many games
my memory is running out of space fast (i need 8gb jeeje) well is the best phone i have used, and
better than THOUS FATS Bb, ITS A PHONE FOR FREEDOM. (from panama M.A.G)

Here is what I did step by step:
1. I created backup memory on the memory card and then restored factory settings.
2. I restored phone memory from memory card, it did not work.
3. So I uninstalled and deleted all applications that I had downloaded from the net. Then I formatted my memory card and created a back up of my phone memory from it.
4. It still didn't work!
5. So I connected it with the pc and tried to access my phone memory via the pc, I could not do that.
6. PC Suite doesn't let me access my phone content either.
7. Then I restored phone memory and formatted the memory card a second time via my pc.
8. Then I created a back up memory on the card and reset factory settings on the phone while the memory card was removed.
10. Then I restored memory from my memory card and IT STILL DIDN'T WORK!
So now I've had to recollect my phone book from scratch. I still have all my previous content saved on my memory card but I am afraid of restoring memory from it because then it affects the messaging. I downloaded the Nokia OVI Store application. Currently there are no applications installed on the phone. I have formatted my memory card twice. The only two things that I have created backup memory of are my contacts and my text messages. It still does not work!
Harry:
I have not installed any third party themes on it I downloaded a couple off the Nokia website, I don't know if those were the triggering factors or something else that I downloaded via the OVI Store. In any case now the phone has no applications installed on it or anything else.

is the best phone. Is more better than samsung omnia of 8mp and than nokia n97.

Hi All,
Can somebody pl help on this? when ever i connect my E71 to my Laptop thro PC suit my memory card is not accessible and only my phone memory is in use.coz of this i unable to transfer music or any file to my mobile.Even my PC suit shows presence of my phone memory unable to detect my memory card. Pl suggest wut to do?

i had faced some some problems similar to yours. just one question, have you downloaded themes into ur mobile?
i had to Format my mobile before it came back to normal.
all 3rd party apps are working fine but once i download themes, after a day or two, same old problem wud arise. so pls check and i suggest to stay away from 3rd party themes.

why are you so confused. dont you have a mind of your own? You know your needs better than others (I hope), you know your likes and dislikes, you know your budget, then why ask others? We can give you the pros and cons but the decision to but should be yours. 5800 is a music phone while E71 and E72 are business phones, with not so good sound and camera performance. If you want to run many progs in the background, the 5800 is a no no. it hangs because of low RAM. 71 is fabulous in that respect as I am running eight progs in the background and still have 98 MB of RAM to use. what more do you want to decide for yourself?

Fihi, 31 Aug 2009Please someone help me understand my E71's plight! I have h... moreyour prob is the OVI SW that you downloaded. set the phone to factory default settings by dialing *#7370#. Restore from the memory card. Go to Installations->App Manager and remove that OVI prog and others too if they have not created any data for you. Reinstall them one by one and keep checking you messaging.
What prog was it that caused the prob, so that we also can beware of it?

Please someone help me understand my E71's plight! I have had this phone for 2 months, it was given to me by my Uncle who used it for 4 months and never experienced a problem. It hasn't been so lucky for me. It hung on me once and then I updated the firmware and it got back to normal. However, only yesterday, I downloaded some applications from Nokia Ovi Store onto the phone and installed them on my memory card. My phone stopped sending out text mssgs immediately. I created backup memory on the memory card and reset the phone, which had worked the last time. Unfortunately there is something else wrong with it. Even though I have deleted all downloaded applications and uninstalled everything that was installed on the phone. As soon as I restore backup memory from the memory card it stops sending mssgs and if I reset the phone but do not restore backup memory from the memory card it works just fine. I have a lot of important text mssgs saved in my backup memory which I do not want to lose! Is there any solution to this problem? Please help because I love this phone!
