hey friends i got a solution for downloading themes for E71
go to
INSTALLATIONS>APP MGR>OPTIONS>SETTINGS>SOFTWARE INSTALLATION and changed it from SIGNED ONLY to ALL.
this shud work

it might be that the settings that are sent by the provider are causing the problems...
is the phone locked? if not try with a different sim and see if the problem persists

My E71 phone hangs 5 - 7 times a day although i did update the firmware and the software many time however, the problme still exist. i noticed that it happenes mostly whenever i use the internet (GPRS or WIFI). the phone will still function fine however it doesn't go to menu when you press the menu botton, and the only way to solve it is to restart. It's getting really annoying and Nokia center isn't really hellping. So do you think this problme will be solved by adding extra memory? I currently have 2 GB MEM. I really appreaciate your response on that. Thanks.

I've had this E71 (in silver-red) for slightly over a week. So far, so good. Only that it's slightly heavier than my previous N73. But function- and performance-wise, it's better :)

Totally agree, stop whining about the prices 2 much.
people tend to forget that bizniz's tend to keep the popular phones a bit higher... everyone want to make money right?
Its just a good phone and the price is worth it.
im really glad with mine.
stop comparing it to phones that are not in the same line.
if u want to get the total experience.. try lookin on extra software u can put on. www.nokia.com gives u some ideas

I have a grey steel e71 and just last week the front glass cracked/chipped. I've gone onto ebay to find a new glass but I can only see a black or silver and nothing for grey steel, but does this really matter? Also how do you change the glass ? Please can someone assist as it is only annoying me.

this is not the best phone, but one thing i like from this phone is that i installed 3600mah battery, now i have the longest call time and standby time, for me it's the best.
