I have installed all three versions of the firmware released to date and the problem exists in every version.I couldn't tolerate it anymore and therefore got the phone changed today.I'm monitoring it's operation.I think some phones have got this bug and nokia is yet to sort this issue out.hopefully the next version of the firmware will sort the problem out.

      can anyone tell me if i can install windows media player on E71? if i understand well, E71 uses nokia multimedia player..

        Hi,

        I recently got E71..its fabulous phone but can someone tell me how can I make SIM contacts as default contacts. Right now It saves and retrieve contacts from phone memory. I know it has option of selecting SIM contact by going in option but i dont see any option of making sim contacts as default contacts. Can anyone help me here?

          I have been planing on purchasing an unlock E71 instead of waiting on AT&T to release their version and, I have been watch the price come down a lot since the phone has been released. I found that a reputable vendor has dropped price of the Grey for $300US and a limit of 3. Whenever I see something like that it usually means another version is coming out, it's being dropped, or it's price is just dropped because the sales volume has increase. I check the price on Google shopping. Has anyone heard of anything new for the E71?

              hi, can anyone please help me??! :/

              i am experiencing some problems with my e71, i bought it a week ago and installed latest software 200.21.118.. and sometimes the menu key freezes and the only way to get to the menu is to reboot the device! can anyone tell me the solution for this? is really irritating :@

                      I'm currently using a E51.

                      Nokia says the E51 is fully loaded with features. It's fully loaded with SAR too.

                      Just now I made a call and had to move the phone from my ear in less than 5 seconds and use loudspeaker instead as I felt a sudden headache.

                      I'm afraid to put the E51 at my ear as subconsciously I have the fear that I will get a headache. I try to use loudspeaker whenever possible or the headset for more discreetness.

                      There are days when I will use the E51 at my ear all day and not one headache occur BUT it's a trial and error thing as you DON'T know when the SAR will go higher than other times.

                      Coming from very low SAR phones it's a turn off to be going through this. My previous phone, the Nokia 6300 had a very low SAR at 0.57 while the E51 is 1.40...which is exactly 2 1/2 times more than the 6300.

                      I hate the fact that Nokia had to change the platform which is the reason for the higher SAR.

                      Nokia should have stuck with the similar platform as most N series phones. The N95 is 0.58 and the new N96 is 0.91. Despite the higher SAR in the N96, you are hardly unlikely to experience any form of headaches with it.

                      The ONLY thing the E series have over most N series is built in VOIP and a higher SAR.

                      The E71's SAR is a lower at 1.33. What I would like to know from you E71 users is if any of you experience headaches when using the E71 at the ear.

                      I hope a Nokia rep. will read this and realise that health comes before features.
