I received my E71 on Monday. The supplied Memory card is not seen by the phone. I am still waiting for my replacement to arrive by special delivery. Anyone else had memory card visibility problems.

i have this phone for two weeks now..i haven't have any problems so far...and definitely im satisfied with it! the GPS works fine..i can find my way around here in hong kong..i really love this phone! i hope the quality will last!!! one more question: where can i get other maps for GPS?

the E71 is amazing phone, the camera could do a lil better yes (but come on, a digital camera is for good pictures, a phone cameras . . . just something to take a few snap shots with), the symbian software is extra easy to use and after 30 mins i could use the phone perfectly (typing if you're not use to using a qwerty keyboard can take a while to get use to), the screen is perfectly sized and unlike many phones doesnthave to be turned onto its side to get a landscape picture using its 3.2mp camera.
i would reccomend this phone to anyone, it is very very well built and has excellent battery life (probably the best out of all new nokia mobiles).
i have had mine around a week and although the price tag can be high (on pay as you go) it is well worth it.
the best phone i've ever used, there was one point i thought nokia had gt a bit cr**py to be honest and sony ericsson were better but this definatley proved me wrong this time. . . (i use to have a sony erricson k800i and that took lots of hard work and abuse and never died after buying brand new when it first came out, i last had a 6500 slide wich was the worst phone ever)
NOKIA E71 IS THE BEST PHONE OF ALL TIME, A DEFINATE 100% WINNER IN MY EYES AND NOKIA. . .

hi there,
i use nokia e71 and want to say that it is a great phone. the only problem i have is that after charging the battery the ring tone is not anymore the same and i have observed that the screen image is not the one i have choosen before. can somebody help me to set up this problem or it is something normal?

The only thing that lacks from the E71 is the shockingly bad camera. A 2MP camera with no autofocus is better. Otherwise it's completely amazing, best phone I've used in a while.

It's worth a look though on btjunkie, there are some nice "add ons" for GPS that might be useful. Just search for GPS and E71

Better than HTC P3470, So i suggest go for E71 than all HTC Phones(As of know HTC P3470 is rated as the best phone in HTC)

but the main factor in my country is this , there a 10 rand diffrend in the monthly instalment, on the e71 i will get one year free navigation ( after that i pay), and on the i 780 lifetime garmin navigation for free, what should i do , and what should i go with???

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I would choose for the Nokia E71! At the moment I have a Samsung Omnia, which I prefer over an HTC Touch Diamond.
Only having a touch screen is not optimal. Typing on a touch screen is not really handy also the use is not always that easy. I prefer real buttons! If you think a camera is very important then choose e.g. the Samsung. The screen of the E71 is a landscape screen and will do fine. Not the biggest, but good enough. Working with Windows Mobile is more complicated that Symbian as used on the E71, it also is slower.
So my advice would be to buy a Nokia E71 (or a Samsung Omnia).
