E71 is a nice phone, but i encountered problems on syncing with PC suite. You can not view the memory card and can not sync the calendar.

I have the E90 and N95, no problems on pc suite.

nguyensydney, 20 Nov 2008the phone is being sold in u.s. anywhere from $420 to $465.... moreThis phone is pure class. Quality is hard to describe but you know it when you hold it, E71 is in a class aboev the rest. I bought my white E71 at amazon.com for $359 afetr returning a G1 Android phone. Like all best tools E71 gets better and better every day I use it. This is no toy, its defintely the end product of years of development and refinement, but it also fun and addicting. I bought the T-Mobile G1 Android phone first day it was available and returned it after 5 days. Loved the OS but the HTC G1 was terrible quality and it wasn't ready to do business. G1 felt more like a novelty luxury toy than a productivity tool. I've owned HTC Dash and Shadow (both junk now with broken screens less than 6 months), and Dell Axim PDA's. I now much prefer S60 over Windows phones. as well. S60 is very fast and feels light, responsove. I was always waiting for the Windows to freeze when I tried to do things. S60 has been very solid, very refreshing. Bottomline: I trust the E71 and trust Nokia. Both exceeds expectations and the more I try to do with E71 the more I learn how sophisticated, powerful it really is. BTW THANKS to Nokia USA service. My daughters E51 was dropped, developed a mic problem. Went to Nokia online, input the serial #, and it showed she was under warranty. Filled out 1 form, then mailed phone to them. (less than 15 minutes) They received it 11/18 and I got message that a new replacement phone had been mailed 11/20. Less than 48 hour turnaround. My impression is that NOKIA aims to be the number 1 cell phone company and is not afraid to compete against anybody.

Have any of you experienced a problem with your E71 that the calender date of the phone does not change? I have to go to Settings, General , Date and Time and type in the new date. It makes no difference if network or I manually determine the date.

MP3, 20 Nov 2008 Hello! Is someone has problem playing a pirated MP3?... moreto MP3: does it is really a MP3 format?. as far as i know most .mp3 format dosnt have DRM restriction.. maybe u download it using the mobilephone softwares for ringtones w/c most of those audio format has an .asp file extension. or maybe u download it using itunes, napster etc. and these may employ DRM.... just simply download the music from other device such as pc(p2p) then copy it to your mobile or memory card..

The E71 only allows number of saved sms upto 999. Hope this helps.
As for the Advanced Call Manager on my E71.. it's a licensed version. It's unlimited time but not certain on the limited functionality.

                                    Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Dear Silver,

Personally I prefer the E71 over the E66 because it has a full QWERTY-keyboard.
The differences are almost negligible. The E66 has NO QWERTY-keyboard but they are nicely hidden. Typing messages will be more complicated because you have to press one button several times for a certain letter. On a full QWERTY you do not have this "problem".
The E66 has a slightly bigger screen (2.4"over 2.36"), you can rotate the screen and has a turn-to-mute function.
On the other hand the E71 has a landscape screen, very handy for reading. It has, as said a full QWERTY-keyboard, has a simple mute button ánd a much better battery.

Next week I will buy the E71 (instead of my Samsung Omnia. I do not like Windows Mobile 6.1, I am to much dependent on the touch screen only, it has no build-in stylus and typing on the touch screen is not handy).

                                    Best regards, Jason.
