dcarin14, 30 Sep 2008I definitely agree with Sanjeev With all the features av... moreTotally 110% agree with dcarin14 and Sanjeev on this.. to me, without Blackberry Connect, the E71 is like a Lamborghini running on a carborator engine.

I've used this phone for almost 2 months now, and seriously planning to switch to the BB Curve 8320 instead. Yeah, it might not have the looks, the multimedia capabilities, etc... but who cares, It's a business phone my friend.

Honestly though, aside from the BB issue, the E71 is a killer phone. So, I'm wanting, hoping, waiting, and challenging anyone for any info to rectify this. May that be a third party software, hardware implant or whatever.

      Regards,
      DESOU (Dissapointed E71 User)

Can extended SMS messages (longer than 160 characters) be downloaded to a PC? All phones I have had so far could not do this.

V, 01 Oct 2008Got my E71 about a month ago. Unlike previous Nokia handset... moreYes power is equally distributed. Even if two bars are left then also power lasts for more than one day. Battery backup is excellent in E71

am planning to buy this phone in the next week...wanted to clarify/check few issues.

1)does this phone get heated up soon?
                  2)does the phone hang often?
3)does the metal body become dirty very soon.
4)is typing easy on the small keypads? this
                  is my first qwerty phone...
                  5) is the battery life as mentioned in the description.

Iam in India and would like to know the phone's performance considering the dust and weather conditions here.

hope the phone is worth the cost....any user pls answer these questions....

                  thanks .. in advance guys

Got my E71 about a month ago. Unlike previous Nokia handsets I have used in the past, battery power in E71 seems to be equally distributed among the 7 bars. The 1st bar disappears faster in E71. Anyone has similar experience? How did your E71's battery performs?

I guess they removed the blackberry connectivity in exchange with the GPS function. Well i think blackberry isn't that much of a neccessity these days. There's bluetooth, USB 2.0 and WLAN anyway. This phone is still awesome!

I cannot wait to get my E71 this thursday. It is the best phone on the market right now. Iphone does not compare to it and N96 is not even close to being compared to E71. This phone is hot...great looks...sleak for a PDA...and looks hot in grey!!

With all the features available, it could have been perfect; I will purchase E71 if this has Blackberry. I hope they will launch soon an E71i with BB features.

                                    I'm A typical Nokia Customer & having 4 handsets f Nokia.
I was using E 61 i for past One & Half year & most satisfied customer.

When I came to Know Nokia Launched again a Business class Communicator type of Elegant upgradsed Handset, I rushed for it & blindly purchased this Hand set.

Here I committed a big Mistake, Beacause I thought I am shifting to Upgraded Version but actually I downgarded My Handset as It does not support Blackberry Facility, which was the Most Important function of Nokia E 61 i.

                                    Now I'm suffering a lot

Will Nokia do some thing for this on immediate basis.

It is rather hard not to use the hi-speed mobile brandband.

Hell off diff in Chinese and finish made. Nokia has realised to save and future cells would be Chinese made. SE Sam and others had shifted but Nokia followed now!
Overall finish and inside plus paint spray & screen fitting centre is out.Only product made n Finland known to the world will be gone pathetic. Still P990i made France and China was clearly a comparison. We pay for durability then why china made as standard, either reduce price, not increase your profits Nokia, you are behind n touch yet Tube anticipated. Peoplw still willing to pay for 8800 series Arte, why not that to Chinese. Rethink?
