For example, all the popular symbols (@ etc) are well positioned (and do not always require the Shift or 'Function' key to be pressed.) The keys are small, but you get used to them and having just seen a Blackberry Bold in real life, I am glad Nokia created such a narrow phone. The Bold is much wider and while sexy, plastic and bulky in comparison. Nokia have really put much thought into the E71 and it is the ultimate 'Sensible' phone that is also stylish and practical. Go for it!

UPDATE: OK, ignore my previous review, I was using the really bad Nokia headphones supplied with the E71. Using a Vodafone 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter connected to my Sony neckband headphones and a) The sound from the MP3 player is way better than I thought and louder than my prev N95 8G. b) Radio is better than I thought too, although unlike my Nokia N95 8G that picked up the visual radio ID, my E71 won't for some reason. c) Have downloaded and installed Projekt task/project manager and it's excellent. (Avail from Handango.com) Went to play with an iPhone and compare and for all the multitouch coolness, the iPhone lacks the versatility, battery life and smarts of the E71. (Nokia, for the E71i, please improve the camera low light performance, add a 3.5mm jack and make the keypad backlight sensitivity adjustable. Thanks dudes.)

I have this phone for three weeks and i'm very very happy with it. The keyboard is a little bit small but the buttons are rounded and the typing errors are minimal. It's perfect for normal and not snobbish people :)

You'll see that you will get used to it in no time ;)
Three years ago I've spent about a week complaining because the BB keyboard was "weird". I got used to it and started to love the BB keys.
One year after (two years ago) I got the HTC TyTN and it seemed to be such an improvement - full qwerty and all.
Now I bought the Omnia - great WM, fantastic camera, the touch keyboard (landscape) is much better than the iPhone's (no landscape).
The thing is, I can't seem to be able to type as fast as with a physical keyboard.
So, I suppose that I'll get an E71 for myself. Need to reply to loads of emails every day and with the Samsung it is not that practical.

Sorry m8, but i don't agree with you regarding the keypad... morewell..im 191 so the same goes for me.. and my fingers are quite thin but i find myself many times pressing 2 keys or the wrong key
maybe is my lack of practice with this device.. i got it for very few days :)
and yeah. the device is worth the money. has a certain look that just screams L U X U R Y
even though thats not what i wanted with an E series

Sorry m8, but i don't agree with you regarding the keypad.
I'm 196cm tall, so, as you can imagine, my fingers are not small at all.
I find the keypad a breeze to type with. Maybe at first it seemed kind of awkward, but that sensation just went away after 30 minutes using the keyboard.
It's so easy to type without missing a letter. Maybe it is because the keys are not flat.
OK, if you've got really fat fingers it might be weird to write a message :)

voice quality is ok. not bad at all/ probably is average.

GSM Arena: What is wrong with your posting system? I posted a lengthy review of my E71 and it has not appeared after over 12 hours. Anyway, doed anyone else experience muffled incoming AND outgoing calls? My incoming calls sound muffled in comparison to all my previous phones, including SE K800i, Nokia N95 8G and many more. (I am not re-writing my full review that GSM Arena have lost. Phone is nice except for camera's inability to handle low light/dark colours and muffled sound.)
