im thinking of really buying this fone. its a toss up between e71 and the htc s620(yes i know its old)
but for the people who own the e71, i've found everyone commenting that the extra features do not work? (ie: bar reader)
does anyone have problems with this??
im lookin fror a fone with a decent keypad, but isnt too big. dont really are about extra features, has a decent and camera, and really wanting wi-fi on it.
is this the fone to go for??

Iam using E71 from 17.07.08. However, I had a very bad experience with this mobile. non of the following functions are workin. barcode, gps, push to mail (even gprs activited). This is my personal exp with mobile.

I have this phone since last 10 days.
I have tried to use Bar Code Reader several times but it couldnot read anything and I am surprised if anybody else is able to use this feature or not.
Please show me if you can for Screen Shot of what is report data looks like, because whenever I scanned bracode it takes long time and square boxes moves with red colour here & there and red lines on screen appear in different shapes, but finally nothing happens and this application goes into standby mode by itself.
Can anyone clarify this matter ?
(remind you that I am talking about Barcode Reader which is in the TOOLS section, where as Card Reader which is in the MultiScanner section in the Installations section)

I do like the navigotor.Is the new navigator similar to the E71 for GPS use? So the old navigator is out E66 is out.N96 will be too expensive and the price will be similar to a laptop

But if u are looking for something more to "working" type of phone, then its a great tool. Solid feel compare to those plastic material phones.
Does anyone knows the configuration for the Dev Manager? It should support OTA firmware updates right?

can the phone handle microsoft office documents(excel,powerpoint and word). can it edit and create these files. Can bulk SMS be sent from the phone. Thanks

Hi there, I've a question directed to users of this phone re the "Email for Exchange" feature. Is this push email and how do you find it (say compared to a blackberry)? I've found no decent email option/software for symbian mobiles and am wondering if this is any good. Cheers.

Just bought last Sunday 29/7/09. Fantastic Phone, similar functionality to Nokia E90 at 2/3 the price.

But there seem to have a bug with the downloading of video files & store it into the memory card. The error message is "General: System Error". RealPlayer will just stay idle w/o any "action". But cant exit the program. Phone need to restart then back to normal state. When the phone restarts, there is a message "Continue Download"? U can choose to cancel or continue the download & the file will store in the phone memory. Anyone has the same problem?

Bought this E71, just a week ago. Very nice features except that when I download opera mini, now the web doesnt work. Can anyone please help? When I try to connect using the web, it reads as "unable to perform operation". Why? I would be most grateful if anyone can givr me an answer to this. Tq.
