Here i list the steps to update firmware version 054.005 by Files On The Air (FOTA):
1) at standby mode, type *#0000#, then the phone will display the current firmware.
2) Press OPTIONS then select CHECK FOR UPDATES.
3) The phone will then display "connection to internet needed. Normal data call may apply. Connect?". Press YES
4) Then the phone will display selection of connection, whether by network or wifi. If you have a wifi at your place, select wifi.
5) The phone then connect to nokia data base to check the new firmware for your phone. If the new update available, then you can download then install them on your phone.
Its takes almost 10 minutes for updating new firmware. You just take a break a relax...

i bought the nokia E72 recently the sound quality is supberb with lots of clarity i felt the phone is very stylish the camera takes good pictures and the whole packaging was very customer service i like the fact there is a help like if need be and a comnplete booklet that i can always refer to it is a sturdy reliable phone & i am impressed

sometimes while receiving phone calls the sound volume turns to zero. can i fix the listening volume to maximum level?

new firmware was released 054.005. Please update to get feeling of smooth, stabil, battery lasting...I love my E72. All in one...the best thing is battery usage up to 1 week for normal use.
