is anybody here who use the phone to speak with other people, as it was intended at the beginnings, and not like a laptop or a tv? :))

I purchased a Nokia E72 (Golden) colour phone in April 2010 at a price of Rs. 18,000 plus from an authorised "Mobile Shoppee at NOIDA,India. The colour of the phone has started to fade to black from the inside within 3 months. The phone is well protected from all weather conditions but still the problem is aggravating. This is a manufacturing defect but the service centre does not entertain to repair or rectify this defect.
I donot recommend anyone to buy such phones where the company does not care.

JLO, 23 Nov 2010Hi, i'm planning on buying this fone as a replacement for m... moreIf you want to downgrade your e-mail experience then go for E72.
I switch from E62 to E72 and E72 is pure first grade crap for email.
Nokia has lost it. Even after so many firmware updates you still can't read the mails that have been sent in HTML form, unless you download each mail separately.
              It just SUCKS

I purchased Nokia E72 with lot of expectations in usage. The mobile gets hanged and disturbs my routine usage.
Atleast 20 times in a day, the mobile needs to be restarted.

With 17,000/- already invested, i am unawares....

I've had this phone for about 6 months now,
                          and i absolutely love it!!!!
My batery lasts around 4 days on average and I do talk on the phone for about 2 hours a day, and go on the internet aswell as listen to music. The battery life is outstanding as far as im concerned!
The only thing that bothers me is that it has it's trips where it turns off randomly, but that happens around maybe 1ce a month (maybe a bit more often)
all in all i would recommend this phone to anyone
and i love the way it looks so stylish!

im swaping my e72 to a BB 9700. this phone is just too sluggish, dust accumulating under the screen, cramped keyboard, mediocre screen, weak speakers, poor build quality and a very poor email client. im ditching nokia for ever. this will be my last nokia unless they seriously improve. Good bye and rest in pieces my 4 month old e72.

Anonymous, 22 Nov 2010My friend want to swap his nokia n97 with my nokia e72 what... moreI purchased the N97 mini for my wife and the E72 for myself. I've never been a fan of touchscreen and/or slide phones to begin with (the reason why I stuck with the bar model) so the N97 mini wasn't for me. The N97 (mini) is about 1/3 bulkier than the slim E72 and has the moving parts that spells disaster for me (I tend to drop my phone when removing it from the holster - which is why I'm so happy with the lanyard that's included when you purchase the E82.) Nonetheless, the E72 is a great smart phone with all the things you need for business use (WiFi/3G, voice recorder, QuickOffice, email, QWERTY keyboard, etc.) with some neat features included (i.e., 5.0 megapixel camera, secondary camera, flashlight, etc). It's screen size, obviously, is the only downfall (as do all bar phones with a full QWERTY keyboard) so it's not ideal for playing videos (though the quality of a downloaded HD video is still great - just don't expect to be wowed because of the size of the screen). The E72 doesn't constantly freeze like the N97 (mini) which requires resetting (which is a pain because you will need a some hard, thin object to pop open the battery cover). Like the N97 (mini), it allows you to switch between open applications in the minimum three (3) taps. The keys are slighty protruded which makes it easier to compose texts/emails. The N97, on the other hand is great for multimedia use even though it freezes during media play (from time to time, depending on the file type and/or size). If the user is someone like me who's always on the go and looks to maximize the use of a smart phone then the E72 is the way to go. If the user is like my wife who's an internet junkie and likes to view videos on a larger screen then the N97 (mini) is the way to go.

Guys, I can see that there is a conference feature in this phone..I was wondering if any of you has ever used that feature and how does one enable it? I tried it with friends of mine but when I press conference, it shows an error message that it can't..does that mean that it is provider enabled or what?
