However i am a litt... moreCamera is good for an e-series and u get decent results however not compared with the 5mp shooters on Samsung Omnia, LG Arena or Nokia Carl Zeiss lenses but MUCH better than E-71. Loudspeaker volume is moderate and works good in quiet office and home environment but would be dicy in chaotic outdoors situations. E-mail is great and compares well with my BB( In fact I seldom use BB now). Earphone sound is good and comparable . Great battery life and contrary to silly postings here..lovely browser..also plays embedded videos. Streams videos well even on an EDGE connection from the mobile you tube site. The video player is pretty ok too. Has internet radio and all office functions. Great battery life (mine lasts for nearly two days with EDGE constantly on with mail and chat running in background + wi fi for at least 2-3 hrs per day). GPS is accurate and fast...even works indoors.... hope this helps

7 months of use now,,usual smartfone troubles like few crashes but been a good smarty..

Anonymous, 19 Jul 2010You can check what is running in background and close apps ... moreUse the power button for rebooting. Turn off - turn on. There is also soft and hard reset of the phone with holding some buttons together, u can find with google if interested.

It can also be further controlled from the network to allow the network operator to attach more simultaneous subscribers.

Well, after reading several opinions I decided to add comment some after testing my wonderful E-72-2. Nokia is by far the Porsche, the Rolls Royce of Cell Phones. Let me tell you my experiences. Battery: Incredible duration even after updating. I also have a Nokia N95 and full charge lasts only a day and without any music listening or other functions apart from speaking. Camera: Yes, I agree with those that say the focus in dark situations is very difficult, almost impossible. But, the pictures, when focused, are really good. Also, video is very very good. Of course is not a Nikon D3S camera, but with 5 mp and Carl Zeiss lens you can expect good pictures. I have had problems with the famous OVI. Difficult to use with my E72. Using bluetooth is erratic, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Nokia call center, although very corteous, have not been able to solve me this. So I returned to my good old PC Suite which works fine. I must tell that I live in a farm about 30 kilometers from Bogotá, on a tall hill. The only internet service I have comes from my cellphone operator. Using my E72 as modem is tops!!! except when I receive a call, usually the internet falls. I enjoy very much the email as a separate funtion, I also like the GSM signal. This, for me, is the first and foremost consideration when buying a GSM phone. It the signal is bad, no matter how many gadgets it has, is no good for me.A cellphone is, after all, a cellphone. I have found out after several tests that the best GSM and 3.5G signal comes from NOKIA after comparing hand to hand with other brands and the same cellphone operator. The worse signal comes from Sony-Ericsson!!! Sad but true!! Video calls are also very very good. Image very sharp. excellent sound. Music reproduction and videos are really good, Picture quality excellent. I have bought this E72 instead of a Blackberry because the E72 has more features and better quality than RIM phones and also, buying Blackberry means I have to stuck to a RIM service of internet something I don't need with Nokia. Just my plain internet service from my operator I get all features of a Blackberry, with lower cost and better performance. Nokia is Nokia, all the others are just cell phones. updated my nokia black nokia e72 2 days ago and i have also noticed my battery is not lasting as long as before.is there anyone else having the same problem? if so what can i do.

And a last thing. Reading pdf files sucks. The preinstalled adobe reader 2.5 le cant rearrange the text to fit the screen size after zooming. So you can read full page with bacteria size fonts, or zoom in and scroll left and right every line. Again wtf its 2010. There must be another pdf reader which is actually useful, a free one (foxit reader) that i found and promised this feature i couldnt install because it was not signed.
Yeah and be careful what u download cuz there are loads of symbian viruses out there.

I dont like touch screens, and i really like qwerty keyboards, so choose another model if it doesnt fit you, but its not a disadvantage. The not too big screen has the advantage of better battery life and the tft is more durable, dropping a touch screen phone means mostly buying another phone, e72 will probably survive some drops.

I forgot to mention that since its a symbian, dont forget to reboot daily to prevent strange issues, like voice echo during calling.
And another thing is that if you delete files using your pc in file transfer mode, the media player might stop working properly (it cant refresh the actual file list on the phone), again reboot is the solution :(
I had an issue that i couldnt copy a movie (actually any larger file like 300 mb) to the phone, it gave the message that i need to remove write protection from the memory card no matter how i tried. Then using ovi for transfering (it was converting the video again, though it was converted already :( ) resolved this problem, and since that, copying is working again, but i really dont like to spend time with solving issues like that :(
And im missing to see the exact battery life, how hard is it to show that in phone settings or elsewhere? Why i need to download a separate application for that?
For saying something good multitasking is working great. And audio quality seems a lot better than on my k750, and the default earphone is good too, i always had problems with this type of earphones falling from my ears, but this one is sitting tight.
Also i want to thank gsmarena for delivering this great site and excellent phone reviews, i browsed this site a lot in the last months searching for a phone that will suite my needs, because this site was the best source for phone reviews, details, and comparison.
