Nokia has never had much of the market share in the US..maybe 10% tops. Now look at the numbers outside of the US for Iphone and Blackberry...yeah that's right almost non existent. Iphone was released in China...sales #'s are bad. It was also released in Korea...where the phones have always had much more functionality than the Iphone. RIM is so far behind in technology it isn't even funny.

Is the light fading for Nokia?
Nokia used to be no. 1.
But every dog will have its day, and staying on top is the most difficult to maintain.
The NY Times says the Iphone and the Blackberry grips America, the high and mid markets.
Samsung and Chinese brands like Cherry and Torque hold the low end market.
Nokia had better do something fast, like lowering the price of the E72 to attract more buyers who are just waiting but can't afford the stiff price.
The E72 is awesome. Even better if its price is lowered.

If you are wise and patient and not easily tempted or manipulated by advertising, buy the E72 after ONE YEAR has passed from its launch.
If you want to have STABLE operation, wait for six months before buying this.
If you want to have lots of problems with the TEST FIRST BATCH UNITS, go out and buy this NOW, NOW, NOW.
If you want to save money, wait for six months.
If you want to throw away your money, buy this now.
If you are strong and cannot be easily TEMPTED by advertising, wait for six months or better yet, ONE YEAR.
If you are weak and easily manipulated by advertising, then buy this unit NOW, NOW, NOW because you cannot wait.
Last year's gadgets are more stable, the problems have been ironed out and most of all: YOU SAVED MONEY.
The best decision? Buy the E71 or the E63 instead of the E72. You won't regret it.

I so love this phone. I was thinking of getting a blackberry but when I saw this, I fell in love right away! and no question about the performance - TWO THUMBS UP! I am unsure how to have the accelerometer though, because some reviews mention this is included...

As time passes by, the mobiles are getting more sophisticated and serving you better and better. But the term " My mobile is the best " is a claim which users use as they are getting more and more attached to their loved gadget which has been their faithfull companion. But if you look deeper no mobile is the best. There are features which are best on E72, E71 or any Nokias, there are also features which are best on Blackberrys and iphones ( you dont get them on E72 or any Nokia ). Everything boils down to " WHAT DO YOU REALLY EXPECT YOUR GADGET TO DO AND THE MODEL WHICH DOES IS BEST IS THE ONE FOR YOU ". So if your Nokia or Blackberry or iPhone does what you want it to do, does not in any case become the best mobile. If you will ask Blackberry or iphone user he does not consider Nokia even anyway near their gadget. So the terms " MINE IS BEST " only applicable to that particular user and does not apply to others. So every buyer looking for a gadget, instead of asking others you yourself should try out a few models in respective showrooms and decide for yourself which one is suitable to you. You will save a lot of extra headaches. Cheers.....

Hi I have been using this phone for last 3 days & just love the way it is, as for as my personal experience with phone it seems to be quite responsive, i had e63 before this & there lots of difference in terms of performance, i simple words just an outstanding phone i ever had...

This phone IS stable and this message is for those who are saying otherwise. I had the E71 (which was a great phone) but E72 is far better. Also, the software is stable since launch. I have had it since November and have had no problems with this.
Battery life is absolutely amazing. With bluetooth on for 2 hrs, wifi/internet browsing/emailing for 1 hr,listening to music for 2 hrs, editing documents for 2 hours, and talk time of 3 to 4 hrs (all figures are my average for each day). I find myself charging this phone once in 3 days or sometimes in 4 days (with the power save mode on).
I was leaning towards buying the N900 or this, but I made a wise choice getting this. N900 is not a business phone and would not have worked out for my needs. E72 is clearly the best business device out there. None of the blackberrys can touch this.

Firstly, about internet radio for cell phone: From what i could find you need to install an application which allows you to use internet radio, something like the facebook or youtube support that e72 has by default. I also tried to access some internet radio station but i wasnt able to because the web browser on e72 doesnt have the latest version of flash player.
Second, Youtube on your e72: E72 by default supports you tube, so no issues there.
Third, the comparison: I have neither used iPhone nor hero so i cant comment on that. Also, i dont think it would be wise to compare a qwerty business class cell phone with a touch enabled phone.
What i can say is that E72 is amazing! the 600MHz processor is doing a damn good job!

Its just that sometimes you feel that you have pressed once but because the optical trackpad is sensitive, it is taken as multiple presses. Try to disable the optical trackpad and use the phone for sometime... My guess is that multiple presses wont occur.

It totally agree with those wait wait wait, till it becomes stable and price down to 300$.
Why is Black in anywhere, becuz made in finland. Topaz chinese was first batch, stay away. As e55 is finish and e52 chinese. Baware fake stickers of made n finland available esp in india, even on box withime no.

alba, 31 Dec 2009hi i was wondering whether this phone lags when u type into... morei bought mine about a week ago,n i used it heavily on textin and surfin the web thru wifi connection,very fast no lags,so much better than my E63 so i don't regret trading my E63 to this very lovely phone,its simply the best phone i ever had.

u can get more fonts that u like in your pc..just open C:\WINDOWS\Fonts any copy it into your mem card..
