Peace be upon you all,
I wanna ask about the Arabic-enabled version of Nokia E72, what about it? Is it finally released?
I can see some negative impressions about E72 in general. Please advise us back with a solid objective not subjective fair opinions about that phone. I'll be grateful to reply my questions below. Thanks a lot, brothers.
CPU speed?
Menu opens fast enough?
Applications are fast?
Digital Compass are working?
A-GPS works good using Nokia Maps?
Internet Browsing?
Loudspeaker's quality and loudness?
Phone's normal speaker is loud enough during calls or quiet like E61i?!
Optical pad is convenient or it's a headache and not accurate?

btw i bought the silver one and it looks great. all the keys are metalic and feels very solid in the hand.
the speaker is loud and clear enough too.
comes with a polishing cloth too !

hey just gotten my e72 today i played with it for awhile the phone is just great !!!!

my prev phone was n85 now i have switch to e72.
after 2 days of using, overall is quite good.
camera is not as good as n85
sound quality not so good.
there is some bug with the music player.(i have 700+songs but each time i refresh the library, only a number of songs are added.)
switching bewtween modes takes about 4-5secs
but overall interface is still quite snappy
battery life is fantastic. still full bar after playing with it(sms, email, IM, camera, settings, internet on wifi)
doesnt come with facebook app.(only a facebook web link)
the buttons are great. overall design is fantastic.
optical d pad is somewhat useful.
comes with 2 games.
overall very worth the upgrade from n85 !

Today I go for window shopping. E72 is available in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia now. The price RM1,750 (USD460). The phone come with 4Gb memory card.
I'm currently using E71. I'm planning to buy E72 next month. I want to read the review of other user first.

Grr! Bloody Vodafone didn't ship my E72 until 3PM on Friday, so I now have to wait till Monday to get it. I'm fuming, when I pre-ordered it said 'Get it before anybody else', yeah right. Everbody else on Vodafone who went into the shop has got it, and me, with my advanced pre-order is left in the cold. Terrible customer service, I will definitely be complaining!

airienne, 15 Nov 2009im currently using E71...but im confiuse now wether to take... moreCan't offer you any opinion for n900 but as you are a current e71 user, upgrade consideration that you want a faster processor, 5mp camera, nokia messaging, optical d pad. They only thing that i dislike about the nokia messaging is the inability to automatically send a copy of email to myself. Unlike the e71 of which could be set. You still could send a copy of your replied or composed mail but it has to be done manually of which i find it really painful. I'm sure in due time nokia would add this feature into the firmware.
As for the image gallery, getting those thumbnails out from e72 is super fast compare to e71. E71 lost by easily a mile!

sorry about my previous post saying that there are no accelerometer. There is accelerometer but only applicable for alarm and incoming call. If you turn your phone face down, then it will mute the call or the alarm. I feel its just another gimmick like the navi touch pad. I personally switch it off myself. Regarding the build quality, i feel it looks much nicer than e71 and the phone is more classy but at the end of the day, it still depends on self preferences. Its better to look at the set personally. Well, ive been trying to find m compass till now and i cant find it. Not even mention in the manual book so i assume there is no compass.

i just bought the e72. wonder how to use the tap for time? or is there a way to see the time in power saving mode? without unlocking the keys. thanks for helping
