But i do have a feeling, going by speaking to some of the nokia dealers here in india that this phone is no longer going to release in october ..
thats really sad news

It means the UK will be one of the first to get this beautiful handset. Fellow mainland Europeans, is it available to you? If not, why not order from the UK Nokia website or make a day trip to London and purchase from the London Nokia store when released. Does anybody know the time line difference from when it is on pre order to when it actually goes on sale? Is it like two weeks or so?

Hi does anyone know when will this phone be available?Can Nokia understand that a lot of potential byers finally will buy an other phone after such a big delay?And since there are roumors that Nokia will publice the same phone with touchscreen why should we buy this one?

Moreover online support is always up (in Nokia websites) before shipping starts...i can't find it in any Nokia website!
This phone is delayed and we must accept and wait (if this phone be so desirable)

I`m from singapore, Just now i went to the handphone shop. I saw the Dummy set of E72 silver color. I ask the shop,they say coming Oct 13,next week will be lunch. i was very happy about that.

Nokia should reconsider on the Button design. I currently have E51, E71 and just bought an E52 and i'm so disappointed on the button design of E52 which E72 has a similar shape the combination of Memu/Calendar and Phonebook/Message makes it difficult to reach to Option/Back(O/B) button and same with Call/End (C/E) as O/B and C/E are flat and they dont have any dot or indicator for us to touch on.
That's the only disadvantage that I've found. Anyway... I can live with it but I much prefer the old E71 buttons.

I have more information - play.com have a worldwide release date of MONDAY 12TH OCTOBER. Go to play.com, type in Nokia E72 in the search engine, click on the phone when it appears and you will see the date as I have mentioned above.
Also - I would rather wait and let Nokia smooth out any software bugs before it is released.
The price on the website is £329.99 (UK Pound Sterling). That is equivelent to E356.802 EUROS, $525 (US Dollars), $590 (Australian Dollars), R24, 000 (Indian Rupees). For other country prices, just convert using the UK or US currencies.
Be patient guys. It is getting closer.

Lol, GSMarena changed the expected release date from Q3 to Q4.. so this means that will be in November. Moreover, some operators and sites where can be preordered this model, changed the dates to November-December. Bugs, hardware problems, quality tests not passed.. things to be improved?

Update - This website says October 12th will be a release date. I believe this could be the first market to recieve it (Middle East/Indonesia Areas).It is listed as coming soon on the Nokia websites so it must be at loaded on the ships.

My deadline is the end of November, beginning of December and then I'll purchase the Nokia N86 if the E72 isn't available by then. I believe it will be. I am not interested in other brands especially not touchscreen. Despite this disaster with release dates, I am Nokia for life and love the Symbian OS.

Hi all, I am one of the numerous Nokia fans awaiting this handset. Anyway I called Nokia Care UK 0845 045 5555 and enquired. I was told that the UK release date will be in November. I asked for a specific date and they couldn't give me one as they didn't know. They told me to keep checking shop.nokia.co.uk for updates on this. My information is specifically for the UK where I live. I have no information for any other countries. I'll still wait as there in my opinion is no other substitute. I love this handset and will save up more money. My current phone Nokia 5800 has more stay of execution. My early December, my Nokia 5800 which is a tremendous phone will be sent to the electric chair. I crave buttons so much. I have considered the N86 but love the wideview of the E72. E72 also has the best ever Nokia battery. Just be even more patient guys and girls. Keep December as your release date unless you know people in high places.
