thomwithah, 16 Jun 2009I don't think it supports USB charging. Why do you think it does?Strike that below, I now see it "Micro-USB connector which supports charging," and AC-8 Charger. I think this may be the first Nokia to offer dual charging options? I think that is swell....

This is probably the most multimedia focused Eseries phone to date! This is obviously good news.

E71 is certainly among the sturdiest sets I've ever owned. It's one of the heavy weights in its category. I hope E72 continues the tradition. One thing that makes E71 special is the battery life. Mine lasts at least 4 days. And if I use it at the minimum pace, the battery juice lasts for 6 days. Also, Nokia phones have most of the European letters with most of the accents I need. I have to write in different languages to my professional partners.

E 72, 16 Jun 2009E72= Improvement of E71 1. More space in the D-Pad 2. 3.5... morestill, have to say that design of the e71 is better.

                    EXECPT THE D-PAD

plastic on the back side looks cheaper than on the e71 (it's also matte)
keys like the e55 are not that good-looking, look inda bulky
earpiece design is not as good-looking
lodspeaker is on the back so sound probably gets muffled whem the phone is on the desk or in it's pouch for example

and STILL has the same form factor as the E71 ...maybe they could have tried to recess the camera into the body for a nice smooth backside

i am a huge nokia fan, e-seris fan, etc but there are a few things that could have been improved here

                    otherwise it's super-phone :)

Wow! Just when I thought the E71 tried very well to be my kind of "second phone", the E72 comes out. The ultime phone for me is a GPS-equipped (not AGPS), InfraRed & Bluetoothed, touch-screen, 8GB internal storage, multi-colored bitmap editor (Notes application), Biz card scanner, non-hanging (Nokias are notorious for hanging while Sony Ericssons prefer restarting themselves brilliantly).
In the end, I think I need the best of both...
                          Sony Ericsson P1 & Nokia E72!

E71 is slightly better in design compare to E72. E72 looks more "crowded", E71 looks more "spacious" (if u know wat i mean..)

now i understand why E55 is not getting to be released...this E72 is an "expanded" E55. ok Nokia, you have one more thing to do, it's about E52. please make E52 in black or white color. and there you'll have it. E72 & E52. well done!!
