I was surprisingly teased when the sneak peak of GMS arena covered this handset. But when it's finally official, it somehow dissapoints me. I'm now using E71 as my primary work assistant, and it does most of the job well (this is my first non-WinMo handset). It has a magnificent stamina and power (E71 can handle a whole day work. Yes, that is almost 24 h use time from music, office applicaitons, e-mail, messaging, browsing, gps, camera, and primarily phonecalls).
Here is my opinion about E75:
First of all is the battery, which is only 1000MAH, compared to E71's 1500MAH. And that means 1/3 less worktime.
Second is the 2.4 screen. That's a big low down, it's not even in VGA resolution. I'm sure 2.8 VGA screen will be more prefered (yes, remove that alpha-numeric pad away please). And what about the touch screen option, wont nokia be using it on other upcoming handset after the "unresponsive" 5800XM?
Third, its alpha-numeric keypad resembles those in N79 and it is wider this time, which is i'dont like it. It even reminds me of that ugly SE W960's. Not to mention its plastic feel built quality. E71 has much better and firmer rubber-feel buttons to press (it is small, but every E71 user loves it). It will be better to put just those good ol'hotkeys there (call, end call, home, phonebook, organizer, messaging, yes you can add web button if u desire).
Fourth, the navigation button is out of date. Trackpad (and pointer sofware in the UI will be greatly appraised) will be more prefered for optimized browsing experience (tired of pressing and holding buttons to send my cursor up and down).
Fifth, it has the same processor and even smaller memory capacity (50MB as stated in GSMArena spec sheet), the same bad camera, the same OS, and did I miss any Mobile Office feature in GSMArena spec? Surpressing build cost? 375 Euro and u get the same powered but in different clothing handset? Nokia, I'm having a dejavu here, I recall that's for N95 and N96.
Sixth, yes it is bulkier. How would that changes significantly improve the performance of the handset. E71 is known as the best messenger phone with its half-qwerty keyboard and its compact size. Will bulkier handset, full-qwerty-ed keyboard, with less feature beat it? I'm not quite sure.
Seventh and the last of this long opinion is the look, its not sleek nor stylish. I prefer sharp feels than curved / rounded one, it doesn't suit my definition of E-Series style. (I'm comparing it with the great E-90, and the sleek E-71, I'm not even mentioning other brand's handset)...

These ratings you quote are from opinionists like you and me. They aren't from official editorial reviewers so you creating excitement over these low ratings will NOT affect the phone sales. Nokia may very well sell more of these E75 than any SAMSUNG or MOTOROLA for 2009. Not being a hater like you, just FACTS. Facts that we see year after year which makes Nokia #1 year after year.

You said in comparison to the E71, holding the E75 to the ear won't seem like a slice of bread as the E75 is thinner. How can it be thinner when it's 14.4mmm while the E71 is 10mm ? The E75 is basically 4 1/2 mm thicker than the E71 which is a big difference.
The second thing you said which doesn't make sense is that the E75 has T9 which gives it a second advantage over the E71. The E71 has the best T9 I have seen, in fact it should be called T10 because it will easily fill in words for you...something you can't achieve with regular T9. For example, the first time I typed in the word 'sweetheart' it learnt it and stored it in memory. Ever since when I type the letters 'sw' it brings up 'sweetheart' and all I have to do is press [space bar] to move on to typing a next word.
In fact the E71's vocabulary engine is even more advanced than that of Microsoft Word for the PC. As Microsoft Word only autofills popular words like months of the year etc. Whereas the E71 learns unpopular words and autofills it for you on the fly.
And don't forget, the E71 has auto-correction as well.

Two keyboards silly idea thickness and internal mem compromised, or you can say something is better than nothing n design,for the heck of it.
S 60 but made n china worsed senario.

Prince of Pecica, 19 Feb 2009this phone is so ugly..I am an Nokia fan but Samsung takes ... morehi there. your right,about this e75 haha,it even looks so corny!what,what was the performance percentage of this cell??just,, 6.8 and the feature,just as low as 6.9??? and the design,just a 6.7??? hahaha samsung f330 and motorola v8 got it 8.4 percentage for their looks design.. !..you know?i either hate nokia cellphones since i started having a taste to choose cellphones i once stick to sony ericsson cybershot k810i and sony ericsson w200i but no one year yet, i swapped to motorola which i admired ...motorola's razr gen.2 v8 and v9 and their krazr k1, and gen.2 pebl u9...and one thing for sure, nokia surely have a clone.,the made in china imitations... lol ) and motorola and samsung, and sony ericsson always got the best faces of cellphones that can't easily copy just like those nokia cellphones....right now im using a samsung slide f330 and im loving it more.. i love the looks of this cell and the dual cam.it has 2mp and vga cam.and 3g with the the looks f330 got.. and even got touchpad keys and red.black color and it has own keypad for music and a logo designed of music also at the back of this f330 and style slide, that surely makes me love this cell more and i also have v8, since we bought it,i've had a habbit to take care of it...and love it just the way i love this samsung f330 ...cos i've never love a cellphone how im loving this two cellphones i've got ... i guessedf i found the cuteness looks of a cellphone from f330 and v8 only..

.... alpanumeric keypad + slide qwerty keyboard ... i think that is very useless!! why not use half qwerty keyboard??

Yash, 19 Feb 2009This phone looks very good....not at all ugly....the design... morehow is this phone ugly? just like the HTCs and N97 and N810 WERRE CAN YOU PUT A FULL KEYPAD AND KEEP THE LOOK OF A PHONE ......behind it that means it HAS to slide to hide and keep the keypad

I'm sure Nokia can do better !!!
