1) The Quickoffice application allows you to both edit AND view Excel, Word, PPT files (There's a separate also Adobe PDF Reader for viewing).
2) you can download MSN messenger from Ovi as it doesn't come pre-loaded, though I got Nimbuzz for myself instead, to consolidate all my Skype/MSN/Gmail contacts into one program.

joanne, 11 Oct 2009good afternoon to all,i want to know how to connect my phon... moreHi Joanne
Do you use a wireless router on your broadband connection? Or on your pc/laptop. If you do,turn the wireless on. Then on your phone, you have to set an access point for wifi which is your connection to your network/computer. The you can surf the net using your phone via the wifi connection. If you do not have a wifi network, you could set a bluetooth PAN connection with your computer - if your computer has bluetooth. Assuming no wifi or bluetooth, you can set up a USB connection via USB cable. The possible connectivity options are numerous but it does depend on your network. The best option is to go wifi. If you haven't got wifi you can buy either a wireless wi-fi router or a wifi card. The wifi router is the best option as then as long as the router is connected to your broadband connection (typically via ethernet cable), you can browse on wifi without even turning your computer on. And a decent wifi router will provide a hardware firewall/NATs connection. A wifi card in your computer is usually the cheaper option - but then you will require that your PC is on before you can use the wifi on your phone. The E75 has all the connectivity you require - but what is available depends on your network/PC setup.
If you cannot use wifi or bluetooth or cable the E75 has 3G if your mobile network provider supports 3G. This means of course the phone won't then be using your broadband connection. Any competent PC seller/distributer should be able to sort it all out for you. Hope this helps.

I've had this phone since May. The phone is great, no default. It doesn't switch off by itself like my Nokia N95 used to do. Downloading programs is pretty easy, just download them on to your pc and then transfer them on to your phone through the PC suit. As someone has said they have had trouble with the battery cover. Well I am not having that trouble, and I have dropped my phone several times, and still it works in perfect condition. I love this phone, my battery lasts for 4days without dying, and i use my phone a lot, it’s always in my hands. Receiving and sending emails is extremely easy, along with setting it up too. Listening to music is pretty easy and it’s loud. I've dropped it in the bath the other week, quickly blow dried my phone as I did not take out insurance on the phone and believe it or not the phone still works perfectly, still no damage to it after dropping on the floor, in a hot bath. Great phone also came with a free 4GD memory card which was helpful. The QWERTY keypad is extremely good for when email people or dropping notes on to the notepad, or on to the "quick office" programme. In my opinion I’d recommend it this phone to everyone, but not those that expect to see free games within the phone as this phone comes with N-Gage meaning you have to buy the games, but however if you go to the Nokia Ovi website and click on the Ovi store there are some free games for the phone, along with other free applications. If you want a stylish phone with great features, good battery life, easy to text and call then this is the phone for you. Finally before I forget if you get this phone on contract it has "PIT" which is like a walkie-talkie which you can talk to other people that have the same software on their phone, and talk for free. There is so much more but its best if you see it for yourself :)

brave girl, 04 Oct 2009hey everyone
i want to ask is it possible to put password... moreBrave Girl:
It's not possible to put a password on individual files, you CAN however do either of the following things as options:
1. The memory can be encrypted, so no one can read the data on the memory card etc (though when you reset your phone, you'll lose your data as I've read in the manual)
2. You can set the usual keypad lock, further a numerical lock you set, and you can also add a PIN lock for when you power up your phone/remove SIM/etc.
- the way these work is as follows: the keypad lock and numerical lock work by locking your phone after a designated amount of time (seconds/minutes/etc.).
3. Another very secure, but little known feature is the Remote Lock capability that is only found on a few select phones from Nokia. In case your phone gets lost or stolen, you can send a text message to your phone (with a particular message content of your choice), and the when phone receives it, it will automatically irreversibly delete all the phone and memory card content. Pretty cool...

No one, 09 Oct 2009This phone is one disadvantage, the battery cover keep drop... moreNo one:
The battery cover only pops out frequently when you use the included Nokia case. I did find that annoying as well, but I stopped using it because it's not very functional to me.
My recent most annoying issue is the lack thereof (of cases). I've bought this two-part case on ebay, which is fairly attractive, but it doesn't fit the phone, and I'm reluctant to get the really soft rubberized covers - they look plain ugly.
The other issue to which I haven't found a solution is that all my ringtones and music files are together in the music player. This is despite it having in entirely different folders, and even on phone vs. memory card locations. It's all together, VERY annoying to hear your ringtone as a "song" in your playlist WTH!

mick, 06 Oct 2009guys, howcome I dont have the turn to mute and tap to mute ... moreMick:
The flip/turn feature to turn silence the alarms and calls was removed in the second (v110) firmware update Nokia released. I got my phone about a month ago, but I had the original (v100) firmware and it does have it but I don't use it though. The removal of that feature caused a great stir among users of the phone and now everyone's hoping that the feature will be reactivated in the next firmware release.

Samuel, 09 Oct 2009Wow wat the lovely phone. Actualy I want to know how to dow... moreI own the E75, and I QuickOffice is preloaded onto the phone, so you can open PPT, Word, Excel files from your phone. It's only for MS Office documents 2003, not the newer 2007/.docx/.pptx etc. files, though there's also a built-in upgrade (not sure if it's free, GSMarena states it is free to upgrade to open the newer extensions). For me it's not a big deal because I mostly use files of the 2003 extenstions.
