to Eigger
the problem is not from the network that i am encountering in the speaker of my E90. i work in the mobile industry with the largest Nokia dealer in the middle east and africa.
for all of you having problems with the speaker. the source of the problem is NOT THE SPEAKER, it is the MICROPHONE. some E90s have defective microphones and they r effecting the speaker. you need to change the microphone. but the only problem is that the mic is a chip on the board and changin it might damage the board completely...
so plz Eigger dont tell me its a network problem dude... im not an idiot in these kind of stuff... with all do respect b4 posting make a little of research and studies then post...
sincerely yours,

I got this 8 dots mark on lower right of the inner screen like 1cm apart. I though it's just a finger mark which you could just wipe to remove it. But its still there.Does anybody has encounter this problem too.

i agree with the person that posted beneath me, however if it would have happened in another country, let's say the u.s or in london, i am almost certain there would be free batteries flying around as i type this.. sad but probably true.

heyhey
battery isnt an issue of stability of phone.
im also from the philippines and i agree that Nokia giving people a hard time just to replace battery is not good customer service.
though i think its not fair to say that Nokia is not a good brand to buy or something.
i am sure that you have been a Nokia user when cellphone began its popularity here in our country especially during the "text" era (you know what i mean).
Im not being biased here. as i mentioned, you have a point about customer service. Im currently using both Nokia and Sony Ericsson (my main phone) as my units. but in fairness with Nokia:
its not only them (Nokia) having issues with battery recall.
FYI that Dell laptops also recalled their battery which was produced by Sony. (so much for endorsing Sony Ericsson in your message).
Macintosh also started recalling their batteries (also made by Sony) upon learning what happend to Dell laptops.
At least, Nokia is making a way to replace battery for free and its coming straight from Finland, meaning they would have to pay for the shipping as well. imagine the amount of revenue it will cost them. so isnt that at least an effort of customer service?

Keegan:
With expectations like that you will be very disappointed. A laptop will always work better than a phone. A smartphone...at the end of the day is still a ...phone. My E70 downloads via my WIFI hotspot 20-40 KB less than my laptop. Why? Processor speed, RAM, yadda, yadda.

O2 has given me over 7 dates for the release of this phone.... Now it is the 27/8!!!By the sound of things, it's going to be one pricey piece of gadget.
Anyways, we'll watch and see!

To buzz kill,
the problem is with the speaker when i make a call. yes like its raining very heavy in the phone.. i even take the phone away from my ear for 30 to 40cm and still hear the loud sound... :(
the sound is not always like this in the speaker. now it is workin fine. but sometimes this happens...

To Nadim,
11 month? you either have a fake or you have a prototype E90, cause the E90 was not released 11 month back.
Maybe that's why you got weird stuff on your screen!
Cheers!

I need to find out if the E90 can be used with the same effectivity of a laptop with a USB broadband connection?
1. Will chat sites speed of info transfer work at the same rate?
2. Give me the pro's and con's of the 2 options above.
I am trying to look at an option where I will only need one phone contract, instead of a phone and data (internet) contract which means that I could save some Rands/Dollars here in South Africa.
Pls lemmie know a.s.a.p.
Tnx

Hello,
I personally use both n95 and e90 and the sound quality of e90 is just as loud and clear as n95, at times even better, mp3 files are played with no problems and again are loud and crisp in quality, for indian maps go to http://www.nokia.com/A4353384 and follow the map loader link you will be able to download it onto your pc
