..following on.If you were concerned about size/weight I have no idea why you would be wanting an e90.Maybe the htc kaiser would be better, compact,FULL qwerty keyboard,touchscreen,3.1 mp with OPTICAL zoom,520mhz cpu,gps,8band etc etc etc http://www.pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=733

eh?Their's around 20 that are comparable with e90!!jog on over here http://www.htc.com/product/03-product_x7500.htm now please don't go on about weight as the e90 weighs in at well over 200g and remember this device has a DETACHABLE qwerty keyboard. Are you one of those guys that are obsessed with mega pixel camera's?Here's some information for you-the sensor on these units are far too small so unless you are in ideal lighting condition the picture will infact be WORSE due to the high pixel.I hope you enjoy your upcoming e90.(especially gps!!!)

In my opinion WM6 is better but hell why dont' they use E90's hardware, since i searched your link and fount no PDA with good camera + i cannot imagine how to type on that small qwerty and so small screens to browse... And jet all of them are wider. It is a s simple as that PDA is used a few hours a day and turned off in between, so if you have it you need a phone also, which means two devices--> sucks. those PDA's are all like nokia E61 and i saw one talking on one of those, he looked funny. So if you want a device to occasionally chek mail and have in the house than PDA. But if you intednd to use it outdorrs than smartphones come into play.

Click the link lazybones!Since GPS seems a priority I do hope you bear in mind the gps chipset,I mean you don't really want a TI one do you??Look for a SiRF Star III or even II is better than what is used in nokia's but then again I think my time is wasted here.I wonder how many folks would buy this device if it was made by acer or gigabyte....CIAO

I will be short. Tell me one PDA or other smartphone that has GPS, camera with flash, qwerty, is as small as E90, has Wi-FI... It is non Existant!! There are samo anti E90 folks here. but thing is we should compare not just criticise. So say no word more until you show some product to compare E90 to.

R razaq Ebrahim that's piffle.Tell me all the 'things'lol an e90 can do that a pocket pc cannot,I am extremely interested to hear this!As this device is aimed at professionals who will no doubt use word, excel, powerpoint and so on the lack of touchscreen is immense.E90 is a large device and weighs more than many proper pda's,in short it offers absolutely nothing more than is already out there but alas it has Nokia stamped on it so the party faithful will buy!

The besutiy of the E90 is act as normal phone and as pocket PC. Where as pocket pc is act as PC and it is not practical to be used whilst you driving the car. Further, E90 has a lot of features that are not available in the pocket PC. The battery last for longer than pocket PC. It looks is irresistible and the quialy of the video is not comparable. My current phone is sonyericsson K800i, but I am going to keep the phone with E90. I am waiting for this phone to be available in Bahrain and I hope to support arabic language for texting.

So Windows devices are bigger heavier, eat twice as much battery due to faster procesor, whick you don't need becouse you only watch films and mp3 on mobile device but you probably don't compile C++ code right?
Are you CRAZY?A Pocket pc's can do everything a symbian device can and a shed lot more. How naïve can someone be??!!
ps plenty ppc have gps(long befor any nokia incorporated it)

For the one who was asking abaut the backlight, yes this one has it. And comparing S60 to WM 6. WM6 is for bigger devices like Pocket PC, while Symbian is for smaller thing, mroe simmilar to phoens, that is msarthphones. So Windows devices are bigger heavier, eat twice as much battery due to faster procesor, whick you don't need becouse you only watch films and mp3 on mobile device but you probably don't compile C++ code right?
Next all todays WM devices are equiped with less thing. Don't have GPS, camera with flast and thnings that make this E90 the only available product that does camere/phone/laptop... And what is more WI-Fi is a must have nowdays or the phone is useless. 3G internet acces is too expensive, even for only looking at emails. And for quick notes without touchscreen. It is even faster to open a device press a button and you type in a quick note. While you must have a special stick to writo on Touchscreen. Touscreen in for my opinion only for non-mobile devices, like displays in museums, you cahtuse touchscreen while walking with that special stick and you lose it soon.

If your comparing e90 to the new generation of pocket pc's the biggest difference is the operating system.Windows Mobile 6 professional(ppc) or symbian(e90).WM6 is very stable and of coarse has a multitude of quality software whereas Symbian is not stable and the software looks like it's been bashed together in around 5minutes!E90 can only ever use symbian unlike pocket pc's where you can use linux and update the read only memory to the latest windows operating system. However Nokia/Symbian are very good at marketing and spreading lies.

Hi Guys, I'm comparing between the E90 and the Jasjam to buy one of them. I never used a communicator or a PDA before. So the big difference that I'm considering is the touch screen. I know about the other features of the E90, but lacking the touch screen is the thing that worries me as i may to write down something quick for example...so what do you think?

Probably you are not updated regarding the availability of this phone in UAE... I have seen it already in Cellucom at Reef Mall Deira in Dubai and it costs 3,400+... i suggest to go there and see for yourself...

"infact I can't think of anything that the e90 does better than the new generation of pocket pc's."
the major thing it does better that pocket pc's is getting kick ass nokia reception. def. a plus since we are talking a WIRELESS device.

Can't see how this device can be a success.Windows mobile 6 for pocket pc totally hammers s60 symbian.Upcoming ppc's have full qwerty plus touchscreen, have faster cpu's,more RAM(noticed a ppc with over 150mb FREE RAM)better resolution, infact I can't think of anything that the e90 does better than the new generation of pocket pc's.I wonder if Nokia will again cash in on a product that is decisively average!
