Called party gets echo of his own voice when called from Nokia G21. Upon advice from Nokia visited their service centre. They reset the software. Problem not solved. Nokia asking me to visit their service centre again which is futile as their service center does not even acknowledge the problem. Nokia should take back G21 and refund the money

But according to the Nokia forum, many fans have complained that Android 12 comes with lots of bugs.

I tried sim cards from 3 different operators and stable wifi trying to update the mobile but nothing happened, even after a hard reset. So I visited official nokia care store and they update the firmware from Nokia G21 to the latest version of Android 12 that was appropriate for this phone. This mobile can't upgrade android version by itself over the air.

Its frustrating that this Nokia G21 isn't updated. Idk is it the Google or HMD fault? Androidone program its seems abandoned by Google and maybe that's the reason for lacks of software updates. In other hand, HMD/Nokia must be able to provide updates even bcoz they release a new devices with newest android. Idk i bought tjis phone for my mom, he is very light user, but i setting it up and stay confused when i saw a Android 11 on it. Seem Nokia die second time.

I am a satisfied owner of this phone. I know it isn't for power users, but for me it is more than enough. I use it for light gaming and chatting, not much else, but the experience is just fine. I love clean android look, and I plan to keep this phone for a while.

A regular user and a fan of Nokia, been using Nokia android phones since they took over from Microsoft and HMD got their back. But my experience with this G21 is something else and is making me change my mind on Nokia devices henceforth. I had this device somewhere December last year. Overall usage is cool just Google Chrome which lags at sometimes, also it kinda lags a bit when you're under direct sunlight. That isn't a problem to me though since it's an entry level device and I can't expect it to be like a Flagship device but my challenge is I've been deceived with OS Update and Security Patch Update. HMD promised OS Update and Security Patch Update but we're in February of 2023 and Android 14 would be released in no time I believe but here I am stuck on Android 11 with September 2022 Security Patch. I will advice anyone buying this device to have a second thought based on just that. If I knew this is how it would be for this particular device I would have picked an alternative from Samsung within same price range with OS and Security Patch Update which is a priority to me. Think of any other device if you're yet to buy but if you're cool with this update lies by HMD Global then go ahead and by this crap Congratulations.

My review after using Nokia G21 for 7 months. Still on Android 11.
1. Phone lags under direct sunlight or if it's a bright cloudy day. I usually tilt the phone at 60° angle away from the sun and the lagging temporarily stops.
2. The Nokia G21 jack (place where where to insert the earphones/headphones pin) not working after 1 month of usage. I was told to do factory reset which I haven't done because I can use Bluetooth to listen to music.
3. Battery quality is still good.
4. Camera quality is good.
5. Charging quality is still the same.
6. Phone doesn't overheat when watching TikTok clips, Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook, twitter and Whatsapp
7. The TikTok app hanged once while watching TikTok clips for 30 minutes.
8. The TikTok app hanged once while creating and uploading 10 TikTok clips on my account simultaneously.
9. Browsing is super fast on chrome or Firefox browser.
10. Switching between apps doesn't cause phone to hang.
