Nokia fan, 27 Feb 2023So what's your own daily driver?Mine
I am using the Nokia c01 plus phone
Definitely not a good phone I have for dally driver

It's really sluggish phone that insufferable and unbearable too use so sluggish

So much frustration with web pages not fully loading running out of memory only half web site load

browser closing kicking out me back too home screen on the phone very annoying

Only using it as it's the only dual SIM phone I have
So I can't wait get a new deal SIM phone

I do also have a Nokia 3.1 that's just doesn't have enough storage for me
it's also sluggish but nowhere as bad as the other one

The Nokia battery life is good and software so there some good about it but it is slow

So am probably overdue for a new phone

Specs maybe commitable except processor itself...seems underpowered.,I do know it is focused on battery and normal usage...and since it is repairable..no way it is gonna take more days alone...good for those users who doesn't spent time too much on smartphone...Eg..People with Job or Seniors

Just be aware the Nokia g22
Doesn't have a user replaceable battery
You can't just take the back off and change the battery

But what it is a very easy phone too repair with basic tools and only moderate skills in repairing phones

If learning how to do a phone battery change is something's this phone is beginner friendly

If the battery dies it possible someone could replace the battery with minimum risk

Although a true user replaceable battery
is on the Nokia c02 budget phone

This phone needs no skills or tools too open and replace the battery So anyone can do it

Nokia fan, 27 Feb 2023Does unisoc have maybe it's best high-end chip set wit... moreWell
The best unisoc chepset t606 and similar
The flagship unisoc processors only as good as mediatek budget one's

The mediatek Helio P60 is equal too the best unisoc
Soc there all very similar around same power In gaming

The hotwav cyber 9 pro is a budget king as it goes on sale for £135 on site like AliExpress a lot

It's unbelievable value for money at this price point
We was shocked it was real

As we brought one was unsure if it was even possible buy a phone this good for so little money

Normally mediatek or Snapdragon soc are better in gaming as most of the gaming phones have them in them with cooling systems just find in better phones just more ram and storage

A unisoc processor could be good but the catch with them is that get a ok processor the best unisoc can offer if you choose a phone like Nokia g22
but it's never really given enough ram capacity work well

They can support up too 8gb ram but no-one does this
And unfortunately it's not possible for the user upgrade the ram in a phone with only 4gb ram

As android growing bigger and new versions are getting released 4gb ram really starting show it's age
Especially on phones that run the lasted version of android

Android os it's self could actually be more system resources intenseive and harder too run then a heavy game like call of duty

Google has said minmuim system requirements for android 12 is Crazy 6gb of ram
But Google not always clear about required hardware needed run the os

A lot of phone manufacturer also just show a blind eye too this and just make budget phones that run sluggish as the hardware too underpowered too run the software

I think this is why complaints are so common on budget phones about sluggish performance and freezing often budget soc are bad but still they shouldn't run this bad

How I wish they made like a g30 with a good midrange processor and good price
Or the x40 where it'll be a flagship mediatek processor or something like that.
Mostly their flaws is in the choice of chipsets sadly

Anonymous, 26 Feb 2023Bcoz nokia wont play in flagship market anymore, they knew ... moreI don't mind the budget approach, on the contrary but if you want to play the affordable, ultra repairable card then just produce phones with removable back and user replaceable battery. No fuzz with tooling...or maybe only if you want to get deeper in the repair thing. That would actually draw new/old fans/customers (back) to the brand.

Nokia fan, 26 Feb 2023Can the Nokia g22 play call of duty. Without noticeable fra... moreThe Nokia g22 has unisoc t606 chipset
And only 4gb ram but does have ufs 2.2 fast storage

The mediatek p60 chipset scores only slightly better
that in the hotwav cyber 9 pro

The hotwav cyber 9 pro I mentioned I tested a for a hour or so gaming performance testing the game call of duty on it

The phone hotwav cyber 9 pro has got a roughly 720p screen resolution
Also this phone has 8gb system ram
                                    And ufs 2.1 storage

All gameplay testing was done with the phone only on power saving mode and with a battery size of 7500mah too work with battery life is long

Ok the game call of duty mobile season 2 did take a somewhat long time too download and install

                                    Performance and FPS
                                    Loading times pretty good

I recorded the in-game FPS with a third party app running in the background on the phone

So FPS the game run at a rock solid 60fps on medium graphics settings and feel smooth all of the time in gameplay with only very the tiny dips too 59fps here and again

So I tried high graphics settings even on high graphics settings in call of duty the phone still run the game smoothly locked at 60fps in phone only dips for a sec or 2 too 59fps didn't notice any problems or lag

So I know the hotwav cyber 9 pro can definitely play this game well the additional ram does help with overall system stability a lot

Am not sure about the Nokia g22 on how well it can game it's only got 4gb ram thats not ideal for gaming

Only having 4gb ram could be a issues with ram spikes in ram usage when using the phone or gaming
can be pretty limited in day too day usage also how much can have open at a time
Android os and apps can hog a lot of ram also in the background

The unisoc t606 Definitely has some performance and house power too it doing one task at a time be should be ok

Unisoc processor for gaming are not considered ideal soc of choice
graphics glitches or be little bit off when gaming in performance as well

So unisoc soc is a little doggy and sketchly
It's bit power hungry as well on battery life
From what I know about them

My best guess is Nokia using unisoc soc in there phones too cut corners on pricing for there cheaper phones hit a lower price point

I could definitely recommend the hotwav cyber 7 pro or cyber 9 pro for gaming if you can find them online

So yes it's pricy but competition from infinix is a lot and while most of the youths up over here will rock iPhones immediately after high school. Nokia isn't as popular like the iPhones. Example Nigeria price: for nokia x30 is about 400-500k for Snapdragon 695 but you can get 778g from the nothing phone for the same price even less at some discounts.
