It's not an opinion, it's the objective fact that this persons phone lags and freezes. I believe them. Because I also have the phone and it drives me insane because it also lags and freezes from doing NOTHING.
This is THE worst phone I ever had. I am not making this up, I had this phone for less than 12 months and the perfomance is horrible.
It will crash - the phone I had before this, which I had for 4 or 5 years didn't crash as often in it's entire lifetime as this phone did in it's first 6 months. I will have to force restart it, it lags so badly I can't do anything for a couple of minutes.
The software is absolute garbage, whenever I use the camera app I just... it takes like 2 seconds to take a photo after I pressed the button. IF it doesn't crash. Also the camera adds a terrible filter automatically that you can not turn off, it makes the pictures "high res" when in reality it makes them SUPER grainy. I had to install diffrent software just to take normal photos.
When I type stuff I can type out entire words and then watch the phone add one letter after the other for like the next 5 seconds.
Sometimes I want to close an app but the menu doesn't open and I have to restart the entire phone.
It just disconnects my wifi connection is it deems it "too bad" when I am sitting in the kitchen. I can force it to reconnect and anything I do will work perfectly fine so I don't know why it was "too bad".
Look at the other reviews. So many people say it's laggy and terrible and you want to claim it's subjective and trolling??
I bought this because I wanted a phone that lasts me longer than some of my old phones and I already replaced parts of my old phones but I am so fed up with this thing I might have to replace it soonish and maybe try to resell it even tho I feel a little bad about selling something that runs THIS badly.

Do not buy this thing.
One of the worst phones i've owned, worst things about it is the awful lag, even just interacting with the os with with very few apps installed and nothing open in the background, constant freezing and things not responding; although it seems like the lag issue is a little better after more recent system updates. Not much though.
Display is quite low res, blurry and generally looks pretty bad color wise, even comparing to some much older android phones i have with lcd screens. It is pretty usable even in direct sunlight however.
Battery is huge and lasts forever, I'm guessing partly due to the slow SOC in this that probably doesn't use that much power. Fingerprint reader is very finicky and I've given up trying to use it.
Repairability yay, but who would bother to swap the battery on a device like this say, 2-3 years from now?
Overall it feels like a generic chinese device with a Nokia logo stamped at the back. It's an entry level model yes, but why even manufacture ewaste like this? The real Nokia phones are long dead and buried.

People are better off buying a Samsung or Xiaomi or something from Motorola.
Nokia needs to go back to the drawing board and sort out its software and device performance.
Don't insult people who give their honest opinions and experience with something just because you think you know better.

As soon as I got it wif... moreSpeaking as an old hi tech comms engineer that helped design and had "mobiles" when they were the size of a house brick and the battery was external and the size of two bricks... You don't know you're born. Why not try and be objective instead of trolling with subjective nonsense that helps nobody. Get back under your no-tech bridge where you belong.

This is the worst phone I ever had. As soon as I got it wifi wouldn't work only mobile internet, somehow installing a VPN fixed the issue. Notifications don't come through when they should. Fingerprint is beyond awful, half the time it doesn't even react. The screen frequently becomes unresponsive. It's horribly laggy and the camera is bad, only got it a few months ago and I regret it every day.

Beu, 22 Nov 2023I like to read opinions before I buy a phone and com to the... moreIf you want to buy a new Nokia, I can recommend Nokia X30. Using it since release it is s very good device, though it's on the market for a year already. Not sure if that's an issue for you.

I like to read opinions before I buy a phone and com to the conclusion that a lot of opinions is either biased or just plain nonsense. I bought a Nokia 8 in 2018, also reading the opinions of how bad the phone is, fact is, I am still using that Nokia 8, never had to buy a screen protector and the screen is still ok. The memory is a bit of an issue, so I need to buy a new phone, but my kid just love the phone, so she will get it. So I really just don't trust these opinions anymore.

Do not buy. This phone has poor internet connection. Even sitting with the router in sight the connection drops. Restart needed to re connect. Emails don't always come through. Scrolling is intermittent. Signal strength is mediocre at best. Only thing in its favour is the size of memory. I won't buy another. No stars.

I don't know how many of the opinions actually own this Nokia G22. Worst phone I've ever had! It's laggy, slow, full of bugs, the AI camera seems to be myopic...
Why anyone would want to even repair such an awful device?
It's the opposite of circular economy: I'd never want to keep such a bad phone, it will end up in a drawer sooner than later, what is against the initial idea.
